Recommended Posts

Projects that will be finalised This year.

1. Burco - Ceerigaabo Road - 300 km of fully locally funded paved road will be finished in September 2020. This road has already cut the travel time between Burco and Ceerigaabo by half. People now can have their breakfast in Hargeisa and have lunch in Ceerigaabo. A tremendous improvement.

2. Berbera corridor Road - 200km modern highway that will connect Berbera to the trading town of Togwachale will be completed by October this year.

3. Berbera Port expansion - the new 400m Berbera Port Container Terminal will be completed by October this year

4. Berbera International Airport - the newly refurbished with new 4km runway, will be opened later in the year.

Projects that will be turning sod in 2020

1. Hargeisa - Burco Road via Oodweine, funded by African Development Bank and Somaliland Government, this 180km hinterland road will cut travel time between Hargeisa and Burco by 1/2. The current road via Berbera is total length 300km. The new road via Oodweine will be 180km. Travellers will be saving over 100km of fuel expense and a lot of time. This road will also help cut time to far Eastern regions i.e. time to reach Ceerigaabo will be further cut.

2. Djibouti - Jigjiga Road via Borama, also Funded by Africa Development Bank, this is 250km Road that will link Djibouti and Jigjiga passing through Borama.

3. Drill babe Drill - The first Oil well of many will get drilled this year.

4. Ceerigaabo - Mait Road - a 30km steep downhill/uphill road that winds down through Daallo Mountains and crosses Tabca Pass. This road will cut travel time to and from coastal communities.

5. Mait Fishing Port - A port that will serve as an economic hub for Sanaag regions to tab into the rich fishing seas on its shore.

All looks great except no.3

Oil is still very dangerous business in the Horn of Africa. Look no further than Sudan what oil can do to a country.

They give contract to ELF french and the english start arming another tribe. They give contract to Chinese and America brings sanctions and other troubles...never ending.

You either have to give control of everything like Nigeria or you have to be strong like Israel before you go to oil and gas.

All the signs of resource curse can already be seen in Somalia. With a powerful country like USA, Cash rich Qatar already buying their horses in the game. It is going to be one of the world's textbook examples of how not to tap into one's resources.

Nin aan waxa jooga garan, waxa soo socda ma garto.

Fortunately, in Somaliland the people are where the power is. And one thing that differentiates Somalilanders from others is that, in Somaliland everything is discussed in the daylight, nothing is hidden. Anyone knows everything that is to it in Somaliland. It is just our nature and our way of doing things.

In the case of Somalia, it is very much like Mafia bosses. A lot of things is done behind the curtains, a lot of heads roll and a lot of blood is shed to settle petty scores.

infrastructure really is the most "salient contributor" to any nation's economical growth

It used to take 4 hours to travel between Hargeisa and Borama. And when President Siilaanyo funded the 30km Dilla - Borama Road, the travel time has been cut to 2 hours. That means, the 30km rough road between Dilla and Borama used to take 2 hours.

Now this is the same road.

A port in Mait is going to be a game changer for Sanaag region. The region is so rich in resources and farming opportunities but it lacks infrastructure. Hopefully these new initiatives will turn the page.

Ceerigaabo needs a decent Airport to service its tourism potential. Just the Somali people making pilgrimage to their founding fathers resting place.

Building ka dhawaan ayaa la dhisay. It is called vandalism when historic sites are changed or modified. The same thing is happening to Madina Al Minawara where historic graveyards are being vandalised with newly built buildings.

Anyway, here is Doonbira's graveyard also vandalised.

war nimanku caduufisanaa, Ma hadey Qabuurtiina Odayada is barbar dhigeen,War odayadu ha idinka nasteen, Tariikhda beenta yeyna meel walba idin la gelin

There many myths , fairy tales,  debunked, with facts from DNA websites, all Isaakh don't share a father,   if you don't believe check Somali groups ,where those like you, going crazy about this tomb, got the shock, that they are not from same father, and different Haplogroup.

I suggest you drop these fairy tales, and proceed with testing. it is very sad,  grown up, educated coming here with these fairy tales, and even worse, discriminating others based on these fairy tales.

For Darood   line,  so far, all tests are 100% accurate, it even tells you how far back, and there are Harti group  in there in family tree DNA,  with all PERFECT matches, from MJ, DHULB , Maakhiris and DISHIISH

Go for BIG Y.

BIG Y

Please note that as of January 30, 2019 the Big Y-700 test is now available, and the Big Y-500 test is no longer available for purchase.

The Big Y is a Y-chromosome direct paternal line test. We have designed it to explore deep ancestral links on our common paternal tree. This test examines thousands of known branch markers as well as millions of places where there may be new branch markers.

The Big Y test is intended for expert users with an interest in advancing science. It may also be of great interest to genealogy researchers of a specific lineage. However, it is not a test for matching you to one or more men with the same surname in the way that our other Y-STR tests do, such as Y-37, Y-67 or Y-111.

You, of all people, should never, ever, be discussing DNA. It destroys the very foundations of your community.

Your sardine-eating folk have been conclusively proven to not belong to the larger Darrod grouping, at least genetically. Whereas Darrods tested usually return a typical Somali E-V32 result, the sardine-eating mermaid folk of Sanaag have exhibited an entirely separate haplogroup, namely J1!

You can view one such result below:

https://www.yfull.com/tree/J-ZS5383/

Besides, we actually have documented historic accounts of your ina Ali Shire, lets just say that his origins were... ambiguous 😁

As for the tombs in question:

Everything is documented. The place where Darrod is buried is unknown. This tomb you see today was built in the 1980s by enterprising folk as a juvenile push back against the only historic Maqām of worth in the Somali regions; that of the Saint of Mait. The only other maqam that Somalis perform regular Siyaaro to is that of Sheikh Yusuf Al Kownein.

MnAH6IV.png.a7f47e0aa5b498d3d28a3c876e92237f.png

Cruttenden commented upon visiting Maydh how the graves in that Dariix are at least 250 years old. Meanwhile many written accounts, as recent as 1890s by the likes of Revoil confirm Darrods themselves proclaiming that no one knows where Darrod is buried.

Do the test, and report!😁

The Darrod tomb was built in 80s and the Sammaron tomb is even more recent.

The IQ clan sidaa si la mid ah ayaa taariikhda Somalida laga been abuuro oo dhan u soo qabanaa.

Dhawaan waxa Twitter ku arkaayay niman @galbeeditolkiis ah oo Ugaaskii Ciise 150 sano ka hor sawir laga qaaday intay jarjareen oo si kale yidhaahdeen ayay ku sheegeen Ugaaskii Awdal Clan Clan.
