PM Abiy Loses Lemma Megersa's support

Recommended Posts

Despite his large following, it is easier to ignore Jawar Mohamed; however, it is difficult to ignore Lemma considering he is part of the machinery. Abiy lost the Jawar's youth and Lemma's OPD. He never had OLF and OLA.

As usual SPD and Cagjar are in the wrong column.

Che,

A lot is going on in Ethiopia.

Other than Amhara, Abiy Ahmed has no solid support from Oromo, Somali, Tigray, Sidama and Afar. In fact, Jawar is getting getting huge support from the majority of Oromo whether they are Christian, Muslim or Animist. I have met hardline Oromo Christians who say Abiy has lost  their support when he begun resurrecting the hated Menilik  who cut the breast of Oromo women and welcomed the bloodthirsty dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam.

Lema knows that by allying with Abiy and Amhara he will be no longer relevant with Oromo voters. He is trying to save himself from the sinking ship. When the EPRDF met in Addis he reluctantly raise his hand.

He picked the so called central committee members from his rear end without current census or old census. If Amhara who are just over 20 million get 50 members, the Oromo should have 100. There is a map circulating in the media which divides Ethiopia in four geographic regions.

“Generally right from the start, I had informed the executive committee and all of them know in details that it was not something I agreed to. Because I believe the merger of this party is wrong and even if it was right it is not the time for it, I have made myself not to be a part to it.

The reason I said it is wrong is , number one, the ODP leaders have promised to answer some of the big questions the Oromo people have entrusted us with. Our people gave us these question as leaders of the ODP and not to this nationally formed party. Doing this without answering these questions is wrong and it’s failing to deliver on the promises we made. So we have to first answer on the challenges they gave us.”

Lemma Megersa

It is clear now, emperor Abiy has no clothes.

No wonder Amhara are crying foul and calling Jawar Mohamed all these nasty names. They are trying hard to divide the Oromo on religious lines, but the Oromo won't follow the Amhara footsteps.

In the latest interview Jawar said that they either allow democracy and vote or we will separate.

Somali state should be ready for anything. No more Addis appointed puppet.

The map is Amhara dream. 2020 will be an interesting year.

Apparently VOA Amharic refused to air Lemma's interview.

The map is military command structure and territories. That is military map not political.

If they want to adapt it to political map then TPLF will control the north since its mostly Afar, Agew, Tigray and Benishangul all even most leaders are ex-TPLF fighters.

Lemma has big dilemma. Hopefully he did not cut his relations with Jawar in the past months.

Unfortunately Kililka has never been this weak and disorganized even during the 2000s when ONLF restarted war.

All Somalis from all enclaves need to remind Cagjar that he is throwing away 100 years of struggle. As soon as he weakens the Somali the Amxara will throw him away.

Let alone for a society that big, even an individual is respected if he manages his house, his wife, kids and parents. Unless you show Amxara that ou can manage your own house, they wont respect you.

Unless Ethiopians know that the Somali is capable of governing Kililka in autonomy and if opportunity comes as country, then there is no reason to be afraid of the Somali.

Is that how you spell "Northern"?  haha. That map is a joke put together by idiots.

Dahireeto,

The map is probably designed and released by the TPLF. That is where I first saw it.

Lemma has big dilemma. Hopefully he did not cut his relations with Jawar in the past months.

Lemma supposed to be the designated Oromo prime minister after the resignation of Hailemariam  Desalegn. He had all the ingredients: he was the ODP chairman and the president of Oromia, he presided when the Queero  shut down the whole country and dismantled the system, he allied with the Oromo revolution.

Yet, the powers that be had decided to alleviate the junior TPLF spy , replace Lema and make Abiy Ahmed as the chairman of ODP and future prime minister. The Amhara made sure that Abiy to be victorious. The deputy prime minister Demeke Mekonnen was among the candidates to be premier, yet one hour before the vote he withdraw his candidacy and allowed Abiy to win.

Lema Magrassa remained the Oromia leader and welcomed Jawar Mohamed to the Oromo heartland. Since Lema is a threat  to Abiy , earlier this year he removed him from Oromia president and replaced him with a fellow that was working at the prime minister's office. Mr. Abiy had  replaced Lema twice in one year , and now Lema is finally fighting back.

We hope this new development will unite the Oromo and put their votes in one big basket, or it will give a wakeup call to Abiy and stop flirting with the ugly Amhara.

Breaking news:

Asias Afework of Eritrea is visiting  Tigray region.

Is he sending a clear threat to Tigray or the strategy is changing?. With Tigray and Oromo against Abiy , all he got is Asias and Amhara.

Ethiopia is getting interesting.

Afwerki is in the most trouble with Arabs, so is Sissi.

Their two masters don't trust each other (Saudi and UAE). No money to throw like before. No need for their services in Yemen. Their value even to Arabs has gone down.

UAE is putting Abiy ahead of Afwerki. But the Saudi are telling Afwerki to be only theirs.

Ethiopian businesses do not want to use Eritrea. Still Tigray is big in business and now that they are almost completely out of Ethiopian politics, they are free to focus in business with out political buggage. The Oromo are still interested in having Nothern as ally and their choice of course is Tigray.
