Apophis

Sheikh sharif for 2020.

This man is a modern Somali hero.

under his leadership Somalis defeated the warlords, unified the country, and formed national unity government.

Under his leadership Shabab was defeated in Mogadishu and many other parts of the country.

He was the most optimistic president since Aden Cade.

We need his leadership again in this trying times.

We need Himilo Qaran to oust the kacanists.

It is the patriotic duty of all Somalis to remove the warlord Farmajo by all means necessary.

Indeed, Sheikh Sherif and HSM both lifted mountains during their tenor. The accidental President has undone so many gains that these two men made.

Sorry, but can't forget this question.

What does Ethiopia want? Will Ethiopia accept Shiek Sherif, current Ethiopia?

I think ethiopia will have little say in the coming election since they will be busy with their own elections and they are weaker than the TPLF ethiopia.

Their foreign policy has not settled and is not clear which directions they are going.

I expect Kenya to be a much more active than Ethiopia.

The Ethiopia of today has no intention of drailing Somali political progress like the TPLF. THey have no choice but to accept who ever Somalis elect. How can people forget  what Meles did in Somalia. He even undermined Abdilaahi Yusuf before he stand on his feet.

In regards to Shariif Ahmed, we will expose his weaknesses in due course when the right time comes.

He is not a bad guy, but he got a lot of baggages. We have his dossier.

Ma rabo in aan ka hor dhaco.

Too bad he chose a Kenyan troll to be his spokesman. If Shariif want to be the Kenyan candidate , that will be a nice punching bag for many Somalis.THat alone will eliminate his chances.

Both Ethiopia and Kenya are hamstrung by their Somali population and powers in each of their countries. In my view who ever wants less friction with Ethiopia and Kenya have to be supported in Kililka and NFD.

As far as Kililka goes Farmaajo is very weak there. Ghelleh has most influence if he wants to use it, more than anyone else, there fore Friendship with Djibouti is also an asset for any hopeful president of Somalia.

An asset for Shiek Sherif is that he can negotiate with anyone, neighboring countries or Somali enclaves. There is no "hate" on him from any corner. Maybe critics of course, but that is easier than "hate."

Galbeedi,

I am sure you have total confidence on PM Abiy that he would do anything all good for Somalia, but in your haste you are forgetting something. There are always going to be sources of friction and mistrust between Ethiopia and Somalia. You do not want to hear about it now. I guess.
