Some men stare even when u dress modestly. Do they have extra-sensory powers or are they that desperate? Is it some kind of illusion that they see, like a man lost in a desert seeing a mirage?

thank u sis.....@ qacx2 why do u assume that i don't dress modestly?.....infact i do...and it disappoints me...that u r so narrow minded.....

angry thoughts, rage, and inner deep rage, the kinda of rage that makes u intimidate other drivers on the motorway, rage that has no equal.. Not like an irritation or resentment that's absolutely nothing, but I get a real rage, fury, wrath feelin...I gotta judge me today, I have to...Can't continue on like this..am actually thinkin like that other guy to do something drastic, something, anything to avoid this internal rage that is takin over me, I may slash something, cut my own wrist perhaps and let this rage out of my system before it sharpens its roots deep within me...cut my wrist, slit something, am thinkin about an essential change of life style...within my borders..

a feeling of helplessness but another Ramadhan is passing away. It passes so quickly ,I always miss it feel lost when the last week comes up. Will I be able to see another month? Will I be able to fulfill my duties then again and better than now?

Why is it when people are chatting esp. on somalinet they act as if they are not muslims? Is it a sign of rebellion and to what benefit is it to us the people who read their disgraceful ideas ? Or is it just a front to gather attention?

Why do people have to be rude when just a smile or a good word can win a heart?

Why is it the corrupt have the power? When are we Muslims to wake up and take our roles in life? And let the innocent live a happy life.without fear, hatred and atrocities?

Why the enemy within is destroying us…."We have met the enemy, and he is us." During the past decade, this has become -- not without me asking some very uncomfortable questions about myself and accepting nothing less than some very painful, honest answers -- the cornerstone of my entire outlook. I used to think my people as truly the best human beings that ever walked this earth….through my young eyes I admired and at the same time always wondered why they used to be so selfless and giving. Ever since the war, something so sudden and so bad has happened. A major shift and transformation in attitude for the worse. What used to make us so proud is now scorned and frowned upon. Being nice to one another, knowing you belonged and the security of the fact that there was a Somali somewhere in town, it was a sigh of relief knowing that you wouldn’t die of hunger. It meant that somewhere around the corner was a place you could stay temporarily at no cost and with love and respect. Lately there is a total U turn on what used to be our pride. Folks treat each other with contempt and hate. They ridicule each other and sometimes even convince themselves they are not what they are (Somalis)….though looking in the mirror tends to bring them back to earth with a sudden impact. You can sense that wherever you go, the smell of qabiil emanating from every tea room, the streets shops and in places where you wouldn’t expect it to rare its ugly. The Websites and chartrooms are infested with it and it’s being carried on with style by what you call educated and the young who should know better. What makes it worse is the young generation that fronts it in with such penuche that the future truly doesn’t look so rosy.

I wonder why the attitude of men and women is generally so hostile in our community. I wonder why the term baac madoow sounds so scary to many a man.

I’m fascinated by Giraffes, why are they so gorgeous. Their long necks, the way they walk, there eyes and the way they look at you. Their spotted color coats and their gentleness. Wonder what it feels like to look at the world from up there. It sure reminds me of something so pretty and yet so far.

Why can’t I get that Jewel that shines from afar and yet so apparent…?

Tahliil

Sitting here reading all these threads, and picking and choosing and in same cases, copying n pasting my favorites from the collection, I am amazed about the tens of sincere emotions being displayed in here, for example some of my good friends posted these remarks:

I’m fascinated by Giraffes, why are they so gorgeous.

But what if I wasn't born a muslim?

If I had tried to read the Quran, would I believe it to be the true religion?......

Is the truth really out there? And if so, does it float around till someone catches it?

Just popped up in my head now-VEGANS(vegetarians)must be consuming a lot of afrodisiaks wow!

Viagra, how does it works?

Why doesnt Tarzan have a beard?

Why can't we win medals for things that make us who we are? (we are exceptional at)

is there hell or heaven!!lol......and if so why can’t get a demo or preview one time!! just so can stop thinking about it!!!

But what I wonder most is about the huge gap between my Nomad friends here and those still back home...Thinking to myself as I read these; what will someone in Somalia right now who's never been to the west will make out of these random thoughts by us, will they think of us as a bunch of sophisticated scholars who grasped life by the horns and defined it, or on the same page, I wonder if they will think of us as bunch of kids who are gone stray from the real grown up life and thoughts, I wonder if they will go to the mosques, call their neighbors and ask them to pray for us for guidance and wisdom...Couldn't help but still wonder what they'll post in here as their random thoughts...will they say the stuff we r saying or will they have a different perspective about life, one that is more real and practical... All of course being relative..
