SubhanAllah, caajib!

Clothing is just threads put together and by that definition Hijabs, Abayas and Jilbabs are an extension of just a type of thread.

Nothing is sacred anymore!

Nehanda

Actually according to certain arab cultural, the gold mask is worn by married women to indicate their status ie that they were no longer available for courting.

Correct me if I am wrong but a similar process to differentiate married women from non-married used to be employed by Somalis.

The lady looks like she's wearing her own see-through Islamic version of Darth Vader's black suit and mask ensemble or a sad attempt at a niqab, subhanallah. Either way, it's unnecessary, a hijab/abaya/jilbaab will suffice no need to conform to gaalonimo.

^Actually, it's not ‘a sad attempt at a niqaab', at least not on the part of those who wear it.

That's the Emarati Burqa which mimics the falcon (UAEs National symbol) symbolising the strength and dignity of (beduin) Emarati culture. It's worn by older ladies and as Nehanda said, after marriage.

You're welcome. smile.gif
