Islamists stone to death Somali woman for Adultery

Recommended Posts

Seef la boodyaasha, no one is debating whether certain crimes should really get the punishment stated in the Quran, what is being questioned here is, are the conditions needed to carry out Sharia justice present? Does one automatically become pious, learned and judicious simply because he grew a beard, prays now and has power via the gun?

May Allah who is oft forgiving have mercy on her soul.

Dhubad.

They should clarify their(Al-Shabaab)side of the story.....they can't just be quiet about.

Ilahay ha unaxariisto miskiinta.

There is too much contradictory information regarding this story ... and peoples opinions are only as valid as the facts that they are based upon ... but something does seem very fishy about this whole incident.

regardless of how it went down .. gabadha ilaahay ha u naxariisto

Khayr

Is media selective in their reporting? = Yes. But that’s another subject it doesn’t take away from the heinousness of this miscarriage of justice under the Islamic banner.

And why does one trump the other? What you are essientially advocating for is hearsay. It doesn't have to be necessarily true or the exact information is not needed. All that is needed is

hearsay.

e.g. Report - Serenity is a lazy co-worker.

Response from co-workers - "Oh, we always knew she didn't pull her weight. Always on-line chatting."

So now we see Serenity under that light - the Lazy Co-Worker.[/b]

Secondly,

I think that you people have a problem with the whole idea of stoning an adulterer. Its gruesome to the western sensbility.

This reminds of the ayat in sura al Baqarah,

Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it.
But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you.
But God knoweth, and ye know not.
verse 216

So to sum this up. A 14 year old bantu girl, who could very well have been traumatized and mentally ill due to being raped at the age of 13, was stoned to death by 'islamists'. Allah ha unaxaristo the miskeen girl. There is truly no justice in this world.

Khayr, your example is shyte. Its based on the premise that the story is hearsay to begin with.

Now, the story was reported numerous times online and on newspapers, so I've taken it to be as true as news usually is (remember, even news is biased, so you always have to take everything with a pinch of salt). If you think its hearsay, the onus is on you to prove it is so, and only then do you accuse me of pandering to hearsay.

Now get to work, I'm sure you'll have fun reading the varieties of the story in af soomaali ;)

Father of the deceased girl told voa that wadaads never spoke with him to verify about the girl's age. She was raped by militia associated with the wadaads. When she reported the incident, they told her to admit if there was a sexual intercourse even though she was forced to. The spokesperson for the Kismayo Colt, sh. Hassan Yacqub, told voa that "she looked mature enough." However, her father says she was only fourteen and was raped by the court's militia. And that he was never consulted.

Where's the moral outrage? How come we haven't heard from any of the trumpets for the Colt?
