Shirka Garoowe waxaa lagu tashkiilinayaa xukuumadda Nabad iyo Nolol oo fakh fakh toodi laga joogi waayey.😁

Jokes aside; I believe it is a sign of political maturity for these stakeholders of Somali national affairs to get together, from time to time, to discuss and iron out there political differences.  After all,  what matters most is that personal political ambitions should never be allowed to derail Somalia’s recovery and federal path.

It would nice if this meeting was a Somali meeting but it was fruits of Kenya embassy meeting and mostly the last wave of geopolitics moves to Africa, especially the Muslim countries, starting from Sudan, Libya and finally Somalia. The so-called maamul goboleeds and Somaliland were lobbying hard and painting villa Somalia, working for some specific countries and they got some support in order to put Villa Somalia a hard place at the time when villa Somalia has finally get some success about the security in Mogadishu and surrounding regions. The three maamul goboleed leaders may have some legitimate concerns about the issue that affect their regions, like resources sharing and security but they do not have the mandate to negotiate with government on the policy issue. Anything that has to do legislation is the work for the two houses and the government. It is important that the IC community see that Somali leaders working together but in reality, they are the problem too. When you see Saudi Arabia and Egypt diplomats visiting some regions of Somalia, it is more problematic than ever. Villa Somalia is under pressure to bring in these local leaders for the national policy-making which they do not have the mandate to participate and it is not good. The outcome will hinder the process of moving forward. It will stop villa Somali to make a bold and tough decision as they did for moqdisho security challenging the anarchist who wants to maintain the status quo. So basically this meeting is designed to bring back Somalia two steps back rather forward and the three local leaders were given that assignment. However, it is up to Villa Somalia to limit the damage this meeting will cost the national process to move forward. They came prepared but stakes are high for a bad compromise that will affect not only this government but future governments

What happens if the regions don't like what the SFG was doing?

I am sure they don't like that Somalia is siding with Eritrea as opposed to Djibouti. If there was some benefit to Somalia, that would be tolerated, but there is no tangible or visible benefit to Somalia for doing so.

The Xabeshi just signed agreement with QATAR on security joint work. There was too much friendship going on with UAE and people did not like this. Except for money and America, its unnatural for Ethiopia to be close friend with Egypt.

I agree with Duufaan.

They want to put the federal government  back in it's old place. The usual suspects dictating the next road map. we are back to 2011 and 2014. The Nairobi NGO's must be allowed to spend the money and distribute . Lacagta Nairobi taala waa in la qaybiyo inta aanay qasnada ku noqon.

on the other hand it exposes the false autonomy of the federal government as independent entity. They all been told get together or the gravy train will dry.

Our Tigrey guest always bringing his boogeyman Afwerki to everywhere. When did Soomaaliya side with Eritareeya and not Jabuuti?

Soomaaliya has a good relationiship with Eritareeya, which is beneficial to both countries and a great relationship with our little brother Jabuuti. However, Jabuuti always comes first.

Why don't your Tigrey region side with Kenya and undermine the Xabashi federal government. Let's see how Xabashi federal government would have dealt with. We know it saddens you seeing that Meles Sanaawi's blueprint and policy of dividing Soomaaliya's regions into a little controlled fiefdoms that are forever against their central government are unraveling.

I think this whole thing is no different from the other meaningless meetings and will only have one outcome. It will cast more doubt on the federalism project.

MMA,

Forget oil, uranium, etc underground. Forget that it would take real hard work for Somalia to be bread basket for some Gulf countries....forget all other possibilities. Right now at this moment:

1. What is that Eritrea can offer to Ethiopia and rest of the world

2. What is that Djibouti can offer to Ethiopia and the rest of the world

The answer to both is ports and sea coast. Nothing else that is on hand and ready. It so happens to be as well the same for Somalia.

If this does not make these countries enemies, it makes them dog eat dog competitors.

I don't know what kind of skills Farmaajo or you have to dance around this elephant of real life facts?

You have no choice now to change the geography and good or bad that comes from it. Somalia has longest sea coast. I am sure there are a lot of Somalis who would have preferred, for the ancestors to have focused on shorter sea coast and deeper land holding to round the shape/geography.

It already had.

Why would a Somali president sit in a table and argue with likes of Xaaf, Madoobe and others for almost a week. It is very strange.

He should have sent the constitutional minister or the " Wasiirka arrimaha gudaha iyo Federaalka" and come to Garoowe to sign the agreed upon document at the end.

To debate the whole week with these guys will certainly diminish any stolks Farmaajo have.

It is a shame.

Absolutely waa sharaf dhac inuu usbuuc la fadhiyo dad uu qiimayn karo misaanka ay ku leeyihiin dadka ay xukumaan.

Nimankaan uu hor fidhiyo shaqo kuma leh dal iyo dad waxaa u cad in loo kordhiyo sii joogidooda si ay dhuxul suuq madaw ugu iibiyaan ama tubaako darbi ugu dhagsadaan.

Rag maslaxadooda u yimid dal waxba lagama waydiiyo.

Madax ku sheegaan maamul goboleedka filinkooda waa iska caddaa. Qalalaaso iyo jahwareer cusub abuurid ayee wadeen, taasoo laga soo alifay Nayroobi.

Marka koowaad dowladaha Galbeedka ayee Nayroobi kula shireen bishii hore, iyagoo kula shiri karay safaaradaha ee ku leeyihiin Xamar. Jaajuusiinta ay u adeegaan ayaa ku yiri shir shirqoolid u ah ku qabta Garoowe, dowladda dhexena qodoba aynan waligeed yeeleynin hor geeya. Qodobadaas ay ku jiraan wax waa hore laga soo gudbay, sida wadaaga kheyraadka iyo maamul kororsiga ay rabaan Madoobe iyo Xaaf.

Haddana waa kan Nayroobi u duulaayo, laguna bahdilaayo markee diyaaradahooda ku hakadaan Wajeer. Haddaadanan la iska qaban kuwaan...

I didn't expect much from this so-called conference anyways. Madoobe made a scene and took off like a bully. I wonder what would have happened if him and Farmaajo got into a physical fight? hehe.
