Waxaan la xanuunsanahay lacago xaaraan ah oo aan qaatay

Wasiirkii hore ee wasaaradda boostaha iyo isgaadhsiinta Somaliland Maxamed Jaamac Abgaal ayaa sheegay in uu xanuuno ka qaadey lacago xaaraan ah oo uu qaatey muddadii uu wasiirka ka ahaa wasaaraddaasi.

Wuxuu sheegay in tiro Saddex jeer ah uu tagay dhaqtar, islamarkaana loo sheegay inay xanuunayaan meelo kala duwan oo halis ah.

Waxa uu cafis ka dalbaday Shacabka Somaliland, waxa uuna sidoo kale ka codsaday in ay usoo duceeyaan si xanuunada uu ka qaaday lacagaha uu sheegay in ay xaaranta yihiin.

“Markaan sannad shaqeeyay waaban xanuunsaday dhakhtar baan tagoo dhakhtarkii wuxuu i yiri kalliduu dhagax kaaga jiraa yaabay, dabadeedna sannadkii labaad waan xanuunsaday dhakhtar baan tagoo wuxuu igu yiri dhiig-kar baad qabtaa, sannadkii saddexaad baan shaqeeyay waan xanuunsaday dhakhtarkii baan tagay dabadeedna wadnihii ayaaban sidiisii u shaqeynayn” ayuu yiri.

Waxa uu intaas ku daray “Macnuhu waxaa weeye wax ka badan mushaharkii laguu qorey ayaa kusoo galay waa xaaraan dee, waar xaaraantii hore illaahay ha iga cafiyo xanuunadii iyo dhibaatadii aan ka qaadey ayaan mashquul ku ahay”.sidaasi waxaa sheegay Maxamed Abgaal.

Sax, he should repay all of it haddee daacad ka tahay.

Waxaan xasuustaa a family friend jago sare ka haaye dowladii Kacaanka in late 80s. He became a genuine wadaad and was concerned about lacagtuu been been ku helay as he believed. He resigned jagaduu haaye, returned all the villa houses he owned and farms to dowladda, except one he knew it was built in xalaal money. It was in 1990, few months before dowladda dhacday. Oh, tolkiisa see u yaabeen, calling him ninkii wuu waashay, war maxaa helay, maxaa ku dhacay. They really tried to persuade him to not return, instead gave those properties to tolkiisa iyo qaraabada kale. He refused.

Last I remember he became a tabliiq and lived in Bakistaan in post-civil war. I think he passed away now. Alle yarxama, qof daahir ah muxuu noqday. You can imagine those properties would have now being occupied anyway, waana la bililiqeysan lahaa.

MMA you have given us a great perspective on this issue. Indeed only those who are guided by Allah would acknowledge the sin they commit and would repent. This ex-minister is clearly conscious of Allah and so is seeking forgiveness- may Allah forgive him and cure him. Many others are not as lucky and will go to their graves with a heavy burden on their shoulders. Those are the most unfortunate indeed.

Surah Fatir, Verse 8:

Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do!

Tallaabo, you are a serious wadaad. You're always spitting out Koranic wisdom my boy.

Daahiroow, the Holy Quran should not be a book like any other, decorating our shelves and gathering dust. Instead it should always be in our hands, in our heads, and in our hearts guiding us to the way of salvation. That is why, Almighty Allah revealed it to mankind and that is why the holy prophet and his companions fought for it and suffered for it.

Markay shaqada waayaan ama warlord-nimada ka fariistaan bay Soomaalidu ha la icafiyo la fariistaan. There should be some accountability don't you think? This guy and the likes of him should be held accountable for what they have done. Waxaan oran lahaa inta uu xanuunka uu qabo daawo u raadsado he should then spend couple of years in jail.  Tuugada kale ee siyaasadda u soo gala inay xoolaha ummadda dhacaan (be it Gaas or the rest of cartels in Somalia) tusaale ha u noqoto. Inta laakiin aan praises ku wadno dad wax dhacay horimar gaari mayno.

In a country like the UK or Canada you can bring corrupt politicians to account because all the different branches of the state are not only independent of each other but also oversee each other. The police force in the UK, although under the control of the Home Office act independent of the Home Secretary because they have the constitutional mandate to do so. The Courts also come under the control of some government branch yet do their business unhindered because they have the law and the public on their side. The two Houses of the Parliament are the same, the Military cannot be dictated to by any politician or even its own top generals because they know their place in society and the articles the constitution which limit their powers and define their roles. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of our homeland. We neither follow Allah's law nor can make our own. In fact, we are lawless. It is a jungle where the law of the wild applies and fittest (the most despicable and unrepentant) survive. Indeed in the wild the beasts follow the laws of nature and eat only what they need for survival, so we are worst than the animals. Just have a look at the bulging bellies of the deplorable thieves in our homeland's corridors of power. They seem to lack the feedback mechanism created in our digestive system by Almighty Allah to stop us feeding when we had enough. Therefore in an environment like our homeland where we have to deal with an immoral political class, where the known thief cannot be brought to justice because the main job of the "judge" himself is thieving, we have to welcome whatever good comes out it.

So Geeloow, when we find the rare one from among those thieving hoards who admits guilt and reforms we indeed have a cause to celebrate.
