Perhaps their oil companies are also interested in offshore blocks around kismayo lowerjubba.so  who will run the money. How sure are we this money reaches the rural areas and reaches the people. Western companies don't go to places if  there is no money to gain. And the U.S.  is after money I listened to Bolton he  will  do everything to keep the Chinese away from the entire east Africa.

Bolton is probably taking about IMF and the debt relief to maintain the control of the world financial system. There is not a lot of new money here, just more USAID programs but the food program will be beneficial for the poor Somalis.

After close to two decades in Djibouti, the US has finally made a firm decision to depart ways with Djibouti. Until recently, Eriteria has been the sole beneficiary of this shift in policy. But now Somalia is gradually getting a slice of the cake.

All in all, Mr. Geelle has seriously hurt the feelings of Americans in this region.

Mr geele  just goes deeper with the Chinese relations.  the U.S. already showed some concern few weeks ago with sino getting to influential in  Djibouti as wel as Ethiopia. Geele problem is Eritrea and abudhabi these 2 are hurting him but he still has a few cards.
