No body knows what exactly he is getting out of this. If all he got is to have Addis Abeba close doors on other Somali leaders including Somaliland. That may proof as a catalyst for Bay & Bakool 'gacan ku rimis' leaders who are creations of Ethiopia in the first place. just like Kenya is to Jubbaland. But as far as Somaliland is concerned or to some extent Puntland, it is not that big of a deal. Somaliland, specially, needed a wake up call to diversity its relationships and this may be a good opportunity. 

One of the unexpected results from this is that Djibouti is warming up to Somaliland.

The relationship between the secessionists and Ethiopians is one-sided. It's clear not what is Somaliland's actual policy [maybe you can tell us) towards Ethiopian other than walaalaheen jaarka but the reality is they have stake in Berbera, commerce goes one way and Ethiopia has no intention of helping Somaliland the elusive recognition. How Ethiopia deals with Somaliland is no different to any other Somali tribal region.

Ghelleh by some magic will mend fences with US, maybe after this crisis is gone through the Saudis or through Britain. That day he will have the last laugh.

Both Abiy and Isayas have millions in Abiy thousands in Isayas young unemployed. Ready tool for anyone to use. Ghelleh seems to be doing good by tribal chiefs of both parts of Djibouti.

But if geele pulls out of Somalia who is going to patrol hiiraan regions the Eritrean or Ethiopians or a new force. Allot of questions remain unanswered.
