Soomaalidu waxay ku maahmaahdaa gaalka dil gartiisana sii. So let us compare what your sober people and region have gone through in the last 27 years whilst Somaliland was in its mirqaan state.

1. You were overrun by out of control warlords and their militias.

2. You were completely taken over by a terrorist organisation who used your teenage boys as foot soldiers and your teenage girls as jihadi brides.

3. You lost hundreds of thousands of your people due to two man made famines because there was no one to defend the victims.

4. As we speak you are under effective foreign occupation and your people are at the mercy of foreign troops.

5. Your region is hardly developed in the last 27 years of Somaliland chewing for mirqaan.

Now if you take a look at the crackhead people of Somaliland you will quickly realise that whilst they were intoxicated they managed to defend their land, governed themselves, and lived free from the terror of warlords and religious fanatics. And on top of that they managed not only to rebuild their devastated cities from scratch but quadrupled them in size.

So my friend if it is the mirqaan that is responsible for Somaliland's apparent success compared to your very sober people, then I want to be high in cloud nine for the next few millennia.

"You people this," "you people that" - maskax qablaayadeysan saan ayaa lagu gartaa.

Regardless where tragedy, masiibooyin, xasuuq and the likes happen to Soomaaliya iyo Soomaalidaba, isku si ayee ii taabataa. Maan sun qabyaalad ka buuxo malihi.

Waxee tahayba, Reer Koonfur Galbeed have moved on long ago, they don't dwell daily wailing about "waa nala xasuuqay" iyo "waana nala gumaaday" for three decades. Neither do they dig long dead bones of alleged victims in order to seek the ever elusive aqoonsi and score some cheap political points for international community's attention, which didn't and doesn't work.

About Barbaarta's foot soldiers - waxa Xamar isku qarxiyo in the last few years waala ogyahay meeshee ka yimaadeen, from ex-xildhibaan to retiree odeyaal - none escaped from isqarxis in Xamar. Another maan marqaansan people perhaps.

No man from diinsoor or bakool or any can stop our cause to be a sovereign independent state  May allah be with us because we are on the righteous path

I wish I knew a way out this headache but given man's disposition to migrate to where the grass is greener, koonfuria should not look like a bigger Somaliland with all its problems of tribalism, nepotism, corruption, etc. Instead the clans in koonfuria should reconcile in earnest and fight corruption and nepotism.

Also the federal system we have got now should be reformed as it is ineffective and the federal powers transferred to the member states. The current clan fiefdoms should be demolished and the previous eighteen states reinstalled. Power should then be transferred from the centre to the states in the following way:

1. The eighteen leaders of the member states should be directly elected by the public of their respective states and should form an Executive Committee for the nation. Any Somali of any clan should be able to vote in any state election or run for any office in any member state given proof of residence.

2. The office of the president should be abolished and the prime minister chosen by the leaders of the member states (the Executive Committee) by a unanimous vote. The nation's Head of State should be a permanent Sultan from the Gabooye community. He should be chosen by his clan. The Head of State should be responsible for representing the country abroad, mediating between the politicians, dismissing corrupt governments, and being a father figure to the nation.

3. All the cabinet ministers should also be chosen by the Executive Committee again by a unanimous vote.

4. Members of the Supreme Court should be elected by the country's religious scholars and other reputable members of the society and the Supreme Court should be completely independent of the Executive Committee.

5. Each member state should have an elected Parliament proportional to the population of the state and from these state parliaments committees again proportional to the size of the state selected to join the Federal Parliament.

6. The Upper House or Guurti should be the clan leaders and should be directly elected by their clansmen. Again the number of clan elders should match the population of the clan they represent. The role of the Guurti should be advisory.

This is my idea but let me know if you think it is unworkable or unsuitable.

Your suggestions are worthy and should be put forward by your politicians to be debated by all the other stakeholders of Somalia, keeping in mind that your fellow Somalis have ideas of their own, that you ought to consider as well.

However that is not the problem here ... the problem here is that the politicians from northern Somalia are forced by the ill-thought policies of the Hargaysa administration to publicly cloister themselves from southern politicians and if they must work with them, they are forced to do it surreptitiously and under the radar. So, publicly, it seems only southern politicians are tackling and fighting over all the difficult issues that come up in the country, and only they get blamed for all the mishaps and bad outcomes.

This, in my opinion, is not a wise choice by the Hargaysa administration. It should permit its politician to go sit at the table and if they, like you,  see problems with the way the southerners are running the country they should be correcting them and looking out for not only their interests but the national interest as well.

In any case, Tallaabo, “Konfuria” may still be a mess but a lot has been accomplished since the days of the first TFG government. It has been a terribly slow grind— but nonetheless, I believe we’re moving in the right direction. It’s just that I think you guys should be at the table openly in public without trying to deceive the Habr0s—and giving out so-called amnesties to every idoor politician that participates in the national politics of the federal government.  Even Faisal Cali Warrabe was forced to defend his motivations for meeting with southern politicians after returning to Hargaysa. 😀

Somaliland is a like a stray dog running after everyone and getting rejected. Djibouti might have all the problems in the world but it will never recognize Somaliland.

Khamiis, August, 16, 2018 (HOL)- Madaxweynaha dowladda Soomaaliya Maxamed C/llaahi Farmaajo iyo wafdi uu hoggaaminayo ka degay goor dhaw magaalada Jabuuti ee Jamhuuriyadda dalka Jabuuti.

Madaxweynaha iyo wafdiga uu horkacayo oo saakay ka anbabaxay magaalada Muqdisho ayaa lagu soo dhoweeyay garoonka diyaaradaha Jabuuti.

Socdaalka Madaxweyne Farmaajo ee Jabuuti ayaa salka ku haya xoojinta xiriirka labada dal, iyo arrinta xiisada diblomaasiyadeed ee ka dhalatay safarkii uu ku tagay Eritrea.

Madaxweyne Farmaajo ayaa la kulmaya dhiggiisa Jabuuti, iyagoo ka wada hadlaya arrinta gobolka Geeska Afrika iyo is bedelada u dambeeyay ee ka dhacay.

Dowladda Soomaaliya ayaa la sheegay in ay dadaal u gali doonto sidii loo soo afjari lahaa khilaafka dowladdaha Jabuuti iyo Ertirea, waxaana socdaalka madaxweynah uu imanaya iyadoo dhawaan magaalada Muqdisho ay soo gaareen wafdi ka socday dalka Eritrea.

Jabuuti ayaa dhowaan walaac ka muujisay hadal Madaxweyne Farmaajo ka jeediyay Asmara oo ahaa in cunaqabateynta laga qaado Eritrea.

Somaliland has a new  foreign minister he was not my initial pick.if I was ina biixi I would have put Jamaal  cali xuseyn in finance and profesor samatar on the foreign  ministry. But Jamaal ego is a  Bit to high and I think ina biixi keeps professor  samatar for his 3rd  reshuffle. Somaliland has rejected the redsea golf of aden alliances proposed alliance by mbs. The war in Yemen Is  going to its fifth  year and it's seems it's not gonna and in the next coming years the xuutis cant be defeated by the sacuudis. And negotiations are also not working  ceasefires. Also Bashir in Sudan is facing the biggest protest in decades. Somaliland needs to adapt real fast to all the  changing  realities in the region.

Bashir of Sudan is really facing biggest test. It is Ethiopian Oromo uprising all over again.

Mainly Egypt and Eritrea want his head and most likely supported by Ethiopia/Oromo.

Qatar is saying they will help, but unfortunately Turkey is too busy at home. Maybe the timing was chosen by Arabs and their African brothers.
