^And maybe also don't go for the literal translation too. The canjeelo one for example has been completely massacred.

^RIGHT ON.

Hey Bob,

Those were easy as the Ghanima said. However let me translate the hardest one I think was in the form of banadiri dialect if I am correct.

"Luuq luuq maroow laazim laamiga imaaha"

Regardless of he taking narrow paths and shortcuts he'll be back to mainstreet. :D

"meesha libaax soo galaa lo' majoogayso"

My translation:

Where the lion enters, the cows disapear(in fear). :D

PS. I don't want to go to Kismayo. Well not for vacation but maybe to kick those Ethiopia animals out.

As I said in that prior post, I was not directly translating the maahmaahyo. I just used the closest English proverbs [many of them are foreign ones translated into English themselves] I can find.

By the way, maahmaahda dadka hadal badnaanta badan see u af xunyihiin ayaa loola jeedaa, oo dadka afka cuncunaayo hadal jeclaan ahaan, ee loolama jeedo speaking on behalf of those who are present, which you literally translated to.

Af joogo looma adeego = A closed mouth catches no flies.

Wrong! Your translation could have been correct had the Somali maahmaah been: "Af aamusan waa dahab."

Af joogo looma adeego, can be roughly translated to: "Never kiss anyone's butt."

The Point, I'll give it a go.

2-Canjeelo sidii ukala koreeso aa loo kala qaataa.

This means, when pancakes are stacked, pick the top most (or one should start taking from the top).

Am not sure if its alluding to manners or just priority.

Correct so maaha?

Some of the maahmaah are not even proper soomaali! No way can a qaldan chick like me be expected to translate it. Like this one - Awkeey dooli diloow dad nool maas udaahaa.

^^^Did you just blame being a "qaldan chick" for your lack of understanding! Why don't you just say I don't understand Somali very well instead of trying to blame your roots!. I understand "Awkeey dooli diloow dad nool maas udaahaa" perfectly well (see above for my translation) Haha :D
