Eritreans have arrived.

Recommended Posts

Eritreans finally making peace with their tigrian cousins after a long bloody border war a long stance of quarries proxy wars. Sanca axis against asmara  orchestrated by the late Meles zenawi.  The Algiers agreement to be honered  Eritreans and the pfdj and eprdf signing new agreements possible port  business. Eritreans being allowed to live back in Addis Ababa. Mostly deported Eritreans . This looks very promising ofcourse  a common strategy against the houthi rebels led by the Emirates and Saudis.  The Eritreans and Ethiopian on the same page on the gerd even and in the Yemeni war. Eritrea to rejoin igad even. And perhaps afeweki might support the fragile western backed govt of Mogadishu. Since Ethiopia supports that govt for years Eritrea opposed Ethiopias hand in Somalia affairs may be that will change to for the better in the future.

Well we haven't heard of the admiral  The onlf chairperson mr cismaan. Yes asmara used to back him  but not with much just for propaganda use media coverage I don't believe the Eritrean govt really believes in the disintegration of Ethiopia. But I believe onlf as an active rebel movement is dying since ileey. I have couple of relatives from dhagaxbuur and fiiq and we discuss politics. They saying inaa ileey is winning the hearts and minds of beesha the majority of beesha has given up on a war with Ethiopia.

^What happens to Onlf? this is their last safe base.

Are sidelined and have to stay low key. ONLF has been in trouble for some time, but every body including America needs them to stay operational. At home in kililka they really don't have an agenda now. A lot of them are in Kismayu.

Eritrea really has never taken to heart ONLF. Eritrea is interested on Amhara and Oromo.

Especially Afar and Somali are rarely mentioned and Eritrea has never shown any interest except to assure the Amhara and Oromo that Eritrea does not want split of Ethiopia.

Nothing will happen to personnel. They will stay dormant and if there comes an issue agenda then will show up.

Too many wishes piled up brother.

UAE/SAUDI are in a hurry for the Yemen War. They need Eritrea to be free of diplomatic and security problems from Ethiopia.

America UAE want to disruppt the road of China, and what better way to disrupt it than punishing Djibouti.

No body knows how far they can go with this internally in Ethiopia. Not even in the news now Tigray, Afar, Djibouti, Sudan, Kililka..everyone is ducking the wind storm looks like. And is wisest to do.

Believe it or not Somaliland also will be loser in this Berbera. If the Yemen war is done one way or the other then expect another shifting of the sand.

The America UAE economic war with China will not change that is long term.

I think Iley or not any society cannot keep at war for more than hundred years without doing major damage to his environment. Mountains that were covered green trees are now barren. The Tribes also need to unite. Kililka has all tribes clans of the Somali that is on planet earth. The situation is dire, even ONLF unless the irridentist type are convinced need a break to do some survival and economic development work.

Next generation can follow different dream, not now. Most people are single minded on this. It can be said for first time Kililka people follow news in Addis Ababa seriously and see Mugadishu news as if its from neighbour country.

Eritrea used to fight Ethiopia/Somalia proxy war through Onlf and Shabaab/Icu

This is good news for the region

In deed.

They even had war of words with Puntland some years ago about ICU/Shabab. If I remember correctly Puntland caught some that came from Eritrea training.

It is official. The era of despot Cabdi Illey is over in the Somali region.
After closed door deliberations, the DDSI party had elected Mr. Ahmed Shide as the new leader which officially ends the 11 year painful rule of Illey.
This selection will pave Mr. Shide as the new president of the region very soon. Also, the Liyu police has been disbanded as the security force of the Somali region. For the last few days the Liyu have been looting and pillaging communities while abandoning their positions.
Also, members of Illey family are been investigated by the authorities for the theft of millions of dollars.
It is an end of a painful chapters for a lot of Somalia. A very small group of blood thirsty group,  created and organised by the Tplf and Cabdi Illey have been overthrow thanks to the Oromo uprising. While many Somali including my self were looking to preserve the old order for the sake order and continuity, millions of Somalia want the total demise and the removal of the tyrants who oppressed them for so long. Just like the Oromo celebrated the demise of the Tplf order, for the millions of Somalis the end of Illey and his henchmen is a great relief and a new era of freedom.

There were some security concern about the disbanding of the Liyu police and the threat of anarchy and outlaws in the countryside, yet for most people, their disbanding was a relief. Analysts believe that the Liyu is too criminal or murderous to be a force that might fight for independence or even tribal reasons. They were trained to kill and abuse Somali and will not be needed in a land where people are seeking justice and freedom.
It is mind boggling how a small ruthless group had managed to oppress and control millions of Somalia for so long. They acted like there is no one else but themselves.
Now, Illey and his supporters must accept the new order and collaborae for the peace and development of all Somali. He and Tplf wanted to finish off the Somali and createa long  civil war between the Somali and Oromo. There were a lot of victims, but we hope the worst to be over. He gambled to the lives of thousands of Somali to save the Tplf order. After he lost the gamble, he continued to the destructive route until it is too late.

      Very sad news.

Nothing is known yet from the police, but the media is reporting that he died from gun shot and the hand gun colt has been found in the car.
