I agree with Galbeedi here. The Tigray security structure can kill Abiy any day, any minute if they wanted. This was done by Abiy himself.

It may backfire on him.

So far officially is the police are being investigated for too lax of security. The Federal police said that many people who had staff that should have not been allowed were everywhere and this is weakness of the police. They will probably retire them or send them some other part of the country.

Grapevine: It was female that threw the bomb (confirmed by police now) and it was paid mercenaries who do not know by face or identity those who sent them. By phone from another country. lol

There is just too many players and mostly connected to Eritrea or Egypt that PM seemed to be friendly lately.

Lay of the land internally:

Oromo mostly support, but organized forces that question his actions too close to Gurage G7 groups and Amhara groups

Tigray mostly support but organized forces that question going too far in bringing Oromos everywhere so fast lol

Somali and Afar main red line no interference inside kilils. Somali kilil is so protective that some official said "we would like to get rid of khat business, but as long as is running through or in our territory, let a Somali run that too" lol

Amhara is all over the map since they have 5 million in Oromia they don't want to do anything. Yet the Amhara mostly are saying that Tigray is being replaced by Oromo. We lost again and next might come the Somali....kind of hopeless situation.

South is mess except the Gurage who are counting on him helping them displace Tigray from business. That was their job and monopoly in Ethiopia befre 1991. Somali in Ethiopia is not known for business and now when few were starting....

 

The job looks like inside job.

It will. These days with all video audio evidence in everyones hand.

Police are telling people to hand in all recording. They broadcasted on TV Radio and the PM spoke on TV lol

Eritrea was first to condemn and most repeated on TV Radio of Eritrea condemning and then came Ginbot 7 condemning

Oromo are not ready to take the helm of a country in a very volatile geographical location. Especially in their emotional current condition. 

 

 

But America, UAE, Saudi, Egypt are supporting fully and for America the Oromo is more amenable than Tigray who never left Sudan friendship and China while serving America as well. You are right there is already some signs the Oromo will not stay united.

Believe it or not one of the criticism on Tigray was they have too many Moslem high officials and Mosques have mushroomed since they came to power. People are so ignorant to realize that Moslems achieved their part by participating in the struggle.

Many in Ethiopia are ignorant to realize that its the Moslems who protect the country from Extremism and Wahabism.

Except in some Oromo areas, the Saudis don't support anything in Somali and Afar areas. Turkey has done more in Afar areas than any other that can be called Islamic country.

Eritrea has a motive because  the Eritrean don't really  want peace  with tigray. And ofcourse amhara group  ginbot7 EPPF and other radical amhara groups who want to reinstall the monarchy. I don't think Ahmed him self is behind it. It's to easy

opening up Ethiopia could be too dangerous. I do not think even sponsors are looking for complete freedom. today it is Oromo who wants the political power and the economic freedom. That is understood and they will get sooner rather later.  Are Muslims going to have the freedom of exercising their religion?  Adis has only a handful of masjids. But any EID  day a half million people show up. With the new freedom, how it will affect Muslims, overall they are most discriminated against historically.

Muslims are not opressed islam flourishes in Ethiopia  there are so many moques madrassas in Ethiopia  the era of Ethiopia being anti Islam it's over. The orthodox church is diminishing in Ethiopia. The gallas want economic freedom They want political freedom more power more autonomy they have been opressed for to long. We yet have to see how opdo and abiye Ahmed performs for the gallas in Ethiopia
