Good question  it should have an airport  but borama is very close to hargeysa the road is very smooth now.  Borama is very nice  during this season rainy one. It's very nice. Dhulki wa barwaaqo. We have an airport small operational in Kalabaydh it was build during the cigaal  rayaale era.

Ceerigaabo and borama both need airports

One of the reasons Galbeedi talks about rampant corruption in Somaliland. Every penny goes to Hargeisa.

I actually went to the designated land for the airport of Borama. The airport is located in the outskirts of the city. Its on the way to xabalaha.

It's not always good to speak for the sake of making a point. Your statements are getting desperate!

I don't think cities like Boorama and Burco need airports of their own as they are close to Hargeisa. What they need are good roads linking them to the airport in Hargeisa and a reliable public transport system. However Ceergaabo, Laascaanood, and Saylac definitely need airports.

It makes sense to have a well serviced International Airport in Hargeisa with good connections to the world.

And regional capitals to have local Airports with basic services.

Just look at Garowe. I am not too sure how many millions they ploughed on that Airport. But was it really the best way to spend it? I am saying this because we know Garowe is struggling to entice Airlines to service it. An Airport without Air service is as useful as a train-line without trains.

niyoow @galbeedican easily tell you all the reason Borama doesn't have a good airport or any for that matter is the power that controls the land, Jeegaan, doesn't see this as important or serves their interest. we know why. it is pure tribal discrimination. all money is stolen and nothing is given back to the tax-paying people except the jeegaan.

If it makes economic sense, go for it, let Borama have a well staffed and serviced airport.

But if the economics do not add up, then that money should be better spent on a new Hospital, New MCH, New roads etc. At least the immediate impact on the local community will be felt right away.

Just look at Garowe what bad economic decision making looks like.
