It is hard to say who was first in any accomplishment since we never kept or have any historical records in pre-independent Somalia. I therefore, can't confirm or deny whether Dr Lawaaxe was 1st or not.

Absolutely agree with you Deputy and correct me if I am wrong, I see them as if they have the same political platform or even an identical to the one of the ruing Islamic party in Turkey, which I really have a big admiration. I hope Xiin will come back and enlighten us more about Al-Islah in Somalia and their political goals.

The good Sheikh Shareef comes to my mind, hopefully they will have future in Somalia's new political beginning(Islamic parties) And I believe their model of governance is what Somalia needs.

What I don't get JB is this bravado you showing in here. We all know what happened was so heinous crime and a lot civilian have died, but for you to make all these bravado of " we'll smoke them out" ela Bush style has no substance brother. Who ever is behind it is either a far away place that SL cant reach or is amongst the population and wont come up to claim it.

I heard the war between Aidid and Ali Mahdi, Aidid ordered his militias to shoot any donkey they see in the street at night. Apparently, Ali Mahdi militia were using the donkeys to transport ammunition and weapons at night. Don't know if the story has any substance to it or if its just a joke.

Aaliyah, it is actually much cheaper to study in the Caribbeans than here in the states. And after you graduate with MD degree, you'll have to give the same USMLE test like any other American medical graduate. I heard there are a lot Somalis who go there to study. So, if you are really interested in medicine go for it in the Caribbean islands.

I see young Zeinab Cigge too. AZ, there are not whole lot of Somali movies made in back in the days. I recalled one particular film that was made back in late 70s i guess, i guess it was called DAN IYO XARAGO if I am wrong on the name some1 correct me. Young Qalanjo was in it.

The future of republican party depends on how Obama governs next 4 years. If he does well and brings back some normalcy to the economy and makes some change to the US foreign policy, then republicans will be in trouble come next election.
