Pay attention and always fact check your sources. Don't waste time posting fictional story lines. There was one target and one target only, and that's Central Hotel.
Earlier today, Mogadishu and Somalis were shaken to the core. Two separate explosions occurred in the early hours of the afternoon.
On the one hand, a female suicide bomber, who is also is reported to have been identified as a hotel staffer who is well known among guests and owner alike detonated a suicide bomb vest she was wearing as she made her way inside Central Hotel, Mogadishu Somalia. (this reporting is still in its early stages, more to follow about the suicide bomber and her accomplices.)
On the other hand, a second explosion was heart and later witnessed outside the same hotel's front gate. The explosion caused mass casualty as the vehicle was full of explosives that was detonated outside the same Central hotel.
So far, Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Also, preliminary reports indicate that the attack was intended for the deputy prime minister.
This was well coordinated attack that involved high level hotel staffers, including the suicide bomber, who was a female and whose severed head was found on the ground of a second hotel near by, not far from Central. Eye witnesses said the hotel in question was Naasa Hablood. Images of the severed head of the female suicide bomber is available online.

I encourage everyone to take some time tonight and pray for the victims and their loved ones. I also encourage you to pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
In the meantime, I ask that people search for the images of the attack. You need to identify your enemy, in this case, the so called Al-Shabaab. You need to take your Niqabs and qamiis off and really reflect on why the animals had to kill and maim innocent people, and if you are still Al-Shabaab supporter, ask yourself, how long before they end your life.
SOLers, its time to choose sides, you are either with us or you are with the enemy. You either support peace and security or you are with Al-Shabaab, the enemy of peace loving people. If you choose the ladder, you should be hunted like the animals you are.
This is much bigger than one religion, one language, and one ethnicity. This is outrageous that we have people supporting Al-Shabaab and their brethren's in 2015 and they have the audacity to still be active members of this website.
I'm sure you know who you are.

The authorities involved with the said comedian's case made a good call.
I think the comedian was insensitive and a closet Islamist sympathizer, which means he is fair game.
I think the intelligence community should out the closet Islamist symphatizers', find ways for the authorities to round them up, arrest them, then collect evidence to convict the criminals after they have been inside a cell for undetermined period.
That should teach them to not be on the fence.

How to Answer the Paris Terror Attack
The West must stand up for freedom—and acknowledge the link between Islamists’ political ideology and their religious beliefs.

After the horrific massacre Wednesday at the French weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, perhaps the West will finally put away its legion of useless tropes trying to deny the relationship between violence and radical Islam.
This was not an attack by a mentally deranged, lone-wolf gunman. This was not an “un-Islamic” attack by a bunch of thugs—the perpetrators could be heard shouting that they were avenging the Prophet Muhammad. Nor was it spontaneous. It was planned to inflict maximum damage, during a staff meeting, with automatic weapons and a getaway plan. It was designed to sow terror, and in that it has worked.
The West is duly terrified. But it should not be surprised.

If there is a lesson to be drawn from such a grisly episode, it is that what we believe about Islam truly doesn’t matter. This type of violence, jihad, is what they, the Islamists, believe.
There are numerous calls to violent jihad in the Quran. But the Quran is hardly alone. In too much of Islam, jihad is a thoroughly modern concept. The 20th-century jihad “bible,” and an animating work for many Islamist groups today, is “The Quranic Concept of War,” a book written in the mid-1970s by Pakistani Gen. S.K. Malik. He argues that because God, Allah, himself authored every word of the Quran, the rules of war contained in the Quran are of a higher caliber than the rules developed by mere mortals.
In Malik’s analysis of Quranic strategy, the human soul—and not any physical battlefield—is the center of conflict. The key to victory, taught by Allah through the military campaigns of the Prophet Muhammad, is to strike at the soul of your enemy. And the best way to strike at your enemy’s soul is through terror. Terror, Malik writes, is “the point where the means and the end meet.” Terror, he adds, “is not a means of imposing decision upon the enemy; it is the decision we wish to impose.”
Those responsible for the slaughter in Paris, just like the man who killed the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh in 2004, are seeking to impose terror. And every time we give in to their vision of justified religious violence, we are giving them exactly what they want.
In Islam, it is a grave sin to visually depict or in any way slander the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims are free to believe this, but why should such a prohibition be forced on nonbelievers? In the U.S., Mormons didn’t seek to impose the death penalty on those who wrote and produced “The Book of Mormon,” a satirical Broadway sendup of their faith. Islam, with 1,400 years of history and some 1.6 billion adherents, should be able to withstand a few cartoons by a French satirical magazine. But of course deadly responses to cartoons depicting Muhammad are nothing new in the age of jihad.
Moreover, despite what the Quran may teach, not all sins can be considered equal. The West must insist that Muslims, particularly members of the Muslim diaspora, answer this question: What is more offensive to a believer—the murder, torture, enslavement and acts of war and terrorism being committed today in the name of Muhammad, or the production of drawings and films and books designed to mock the extremists and their vision of what Muhammad represents?
To answer the late Gen. Malik, our soul in the West lies in our belief in freedom of conscience and freedom of expression. The freedom to express our concerns, the freedom to worship who we want, or not to worship at all—such freedoms are the soul of our civilization. And that is precisely where the Islamists have attacked us. Again.
How we respond to this attack is of great consequence. If we take the position that we are dealing with a handful of murderous thugs with no connection to what they so vocally claim, then we are not answering them. We have to acknowledge that today’s Islamists are driven by a political ideology, an ideology embedded in the foundational texts of Islam. We can no longer pretend that it is possible to divorce actions from the ideals that inspire them.
This would be a departure for the West, which too often has responded to jihadist violence with appeasement. We appease the Muslim heads of government who lobby us to censor our press, our universities, our history books, our school curricula. They appeal and we oblige. We appease leaders of Muslim organizations in our societies. They ask us not to link acts of violence to the religion of Islam because they tell us that theirs is a religion of peace, and we oblige.
What do we get in return? Kalashnikovs in the heart of Paris. The more we oblige, the more we self-censor, the more we appease, the bolder the enemy gets.
There can only be one answer to this hideous act of jihad against the staff of Charlie Hebdo. It is the obligation of the Western media and Western leaders, religious and lay, to protect the most basic rights of freedom of expression, whether in satire on any other form. The West must not appease, it must not be silenced. We must send a united message to the terrorists: Your violence cannot destroy our soul.

Human rights activist, Harvard Kennedy School Fellow and author Ayaan Hirsi Ali is on Al Qaeda's hitlist for producing a film in 2004 about life for women under Shariah Law. The director of that film, called Submission, was shot in the street and his Jihadist killers pinned a note to his chest with a knife naming Hirsi Ali as "next."
Regardless of the fatwa put on her head by Islamists, Hirsi Ali still boldly speaks out and recently made an appearance on The Kelly File to discuss the horrific murders of Charlie Hebdo editors last week.
"It could have been me, it could have been you, it could have been all of us," Hirsi Ali said. "I understand it and they [islamists] make it very clear what motivates them. We know that this is an ideology, a political ideology, that is embedded unfortunately in the religion of Islam, a religion that is practiced by multitudes of people who are not violent themselves. We know this. What we fail to do over and over again is to make this connection and we are fighting an asymmetric war where we fight with military means and counter terrorism means but we are not fighting back with ideas...there is a vacuum of morality. If western society doesn't instill, again I'm using the world inculcate the values that have made the west so peaceful and prosperous through schools, through the media, through academia, through every possible peaceful channel of educating minds. What happens is you have a vacuum and vacuums like this one are usually filled by evil terrorist ideologists. What we are seeing is an Islamist, evil terrorist ideology."
Hirsi Ali also offered a message of hope during the interview, saying that radical jihad can be defeated on the "battlefield of ideas" and with the love of life.
"I love life more than I love death, they love death, that message is so much stronger than anything they put out there," Hirsi Ali said. "The only chance we have of fighting these barbarians is by talking about it...I still believe the pen is far more powerful, far more powerful, than all of their guns."
Hirsi Ali also wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal about the Charlie Hebdo attack that's well-worth reading.

Canadian ‘terror tourist’ Mohamed Hersi gets 10 years in jail for planning to join Islamic jihadist group in Somalia.
The first Canadian convicted under a law criminalizing attempts to join a terrorist group was handed the maximum sentence of 10 years in prison on Thursday in a case his lawyer had argued was one of entrapment.
What if Toronto man really is the middle-of-the-road Muslim his family says he is?
There are two possibilities that naturally emerge from the sentencing hearing for Mohamed Hersi, the first Canadian to be convicted for attempting to participate in terrorist activity abroad, in his case in his native Somalia, and for counselling someone else to do it too.
The hearing was held Wednesday before Ontario Superior Court Judge Deena Baltman, who reserved her decision until July 24.
The first possibility was raised by Hersi’s lawyer, Paul Slansky, the character letters he submitted on his client’s behalf and to some degree by Hersi’s testimony in his own defence at trial.
This scenario has him as a peaceable blowhard who had been, as Hersi put it once on the witness stand, talking “out of my ass” when he told an undercover police agent that he was going to join the Al-Shabab terror group and who simply couldn’t have hidden his purported fanatical character from family and friends.

An Ontario Superior Court jury had convicted Mohamed Hassan Hersi in May on charges of attempting to participate in the activities of a terrorist group and providing counsel to a person to participate in terrorist activity.
In court in Brampton, Ont., Justice Deena Baltman sentenced Hersi, 28, of Toronto, a one-time security guard, to maximum and consecutive five-year terms for each count, saying he was about to become a “terror tourist.”
Hersi had argued he was the victim of abuse of process, including entrapment, but Baltman dismissed the objection last month and confirmed the conviction — the first since a section of the Criminal Code on attempting to participate in a terrorist group became law in 2001.
Police arrested Hersi in March 2011 at Toronto’s international airport as he waited to board a flight to Cairo via London. They alleged he planned to join Somalia’s Al-Shabab, an Islamic terrorist group known for its atrocities. He said he was only planning to study Arabic in Egypt.
Hersi’s lawyer, Paul Slansky, said in an interview he would appeal both conviction and a sentence he called excessive. He also planned to ask for bail pending the appeal, which he said would be based on several errors, including an unfair charge to the jury and unfair trial process.
Police began investigating after a dry cleaner found a computer memory stick among clothing on which, among other things, a manual for making explosives had been downloaded.
An undercover officer who then befriended Hersi — he was born in Somalia but came to Canada as a child — testified the accused told him he planned to join Al-Shabab.
While the RCMP hailed the conviction as a significant milestone, Slansky decried police methods used in the case, saying they had no reasonable grounds to investigate his client in the first place.
“The very nature of being left alone by the state is at stake,” Slansky told The Canadian Press.
“They aren’t supposed to be going around to people randomly and seeing if someone could be a criminal — inserting undercover officers in everyday life situations.”
Slansky had requested a sentence of three to four years. Given the circumstances, he said, handing down the maximum for each offence was unreasonable.
“Generally speaking, it will be rare to be imposing the maximum sentence unless it is the worst offender and the worst offence,” Slansky said. “This is not that case.”
The sentencing comes a day after RCMP announced they had charged a man from Burnaby, B.C., with leaving Canada to join Islamist fighters in Syria — the first such charge under expanded provisions of the law under which Hersi was charged.

Police accused Hasibullah Yusufzai, 25, of committing an offence for the benefit of a terrorist group or was directed by or associated with such a group.
“The issue of individuals seeking to travel abroad to participate in terrorist activity remains a concern to the RCMP as they represent a threat not only to the international community but to Canada and its allies as well,” the RCMP said in a statement Thursday.
“The key to the early detection of such threats resides within a collaborative approach.”

In the first place, one can be called "racist" if one believes some races are better than others. In the case of Mr. Thompson, he did not say that his race was better than others, therefore he can't be racist.
Secondly, one cannot be "racist" if one has not treated others differently because of their race. Therefore, Mr. Thompson cannot be called "racist" for expressing his views based on what he saw in the meeting. An opinion, is just that, an opinion.
Lastly, you need to do better next time before you call someone 'racist' without facts.
Why do you believe Mr. Thompson's blog is offensive to maryooley? Explain or don't say nothing, that's on you but just think before you act.

I'm not sure why the columnist is highlighting the life story of extremists who are hell bend on destroying others.
What I want to know is what awaits the girls once they are caught, assuming that they are caught alive. Not their GCSE scores.
GCSE scores do not explain how the girls were able to flee their home overnight without their parents knowledge and/or involvement.
I also want to find out more about the Jihadi Twin's brother. Who is he, when did he leave the UK, and was he openly communicating with his sisters and parents, but especially his father? The family should have been under surveillance after the first disappearance. (The twin's Jihadi Brother)
What about the parents? Have the parents been investigated for crimes against humanity? Did they fund their Jihadi children's travel?
In total, how many children do these parents have and why are they popping more children when they cant keep an eye on the ones they have? ( I think I read somewhere that the parents have close to 11 children...OMG)
Who is this so called father Jihad of the twin girls? How can the so called father Jihad not have a role in his children's disappearance? Who are we kidding here?
I think I read somewhere that Father Jihad is a local Imam, doesn't that give us the answers we are looking for? Why is this man walking free?

Mida kale, I know for a fact that the organizers of the recent protests have not read the draft recommendation of the Task Force.
Its a shame because the organizers themselves had no idea such task force existed. Their only grievance is that they are mothers and someone should have called them to inform them of school board's plan.
Some confessed to saying and said they were recently made aware that such a task force existed. Some of the mothers are so stubborn that they are taking legal action over draft recommendations that they have not read. LOL
Some, including the author of the previous article confessed that the task force is made up of non-somalis. Once the list of the members was sent to him via his inbox, he just couldn't believe it. His source is from waxa la yidhi news portal.

Stop implementing the 'Task Force for Students of Somali Descent'
We are parents of Canadian children of Somali descent who find the idea of the proposed TDSB-funded 'Somali Task Force' extremely offensive and racist. We believe if such a program is implemented, an entire community that is already part of a marginalized group, will further be stigmatized and segregated from the mainstream Canadian community.
We believe our children are being used as guinea pigs in a social engineering experiment that will only benefit the men and women who form this so-called Task Force, and who will be funded to carry out this exercise at the expense of our children.
Many TDSB school trustees are backing this idea solely for their political and electoral ambitions, not our children's education. Somali Canadians want to integrate into Canada’s mainstream, not to segregate their children into ghettoized institutions where they are made to feel inferior and as victims of society.
The Task Force and its backers want to brand all children of Somali descent as collectively incapable of accomplishing what children from other communities aspire to reach their dreams. Members of the Task Force seem to believe that we the parents of children of Somali heritage are incapable of educating our children. We find this suggestion offensive and reflects the racism of lowered expectations that is flourishing in a climate of political correctness.
The vast majority of the targeted children of Somali ancestry were born and raised in Canada and should be treated as any other children born in Toronto.
As a result, TDSB should not be supporting an idea that would further brand a Canadian born child by their race, colour of their skin or the birthplace of their parents.
TDSB Superintendent Jim Spyropoulos has clearly admitted that the ‘special support’ he is advocating for will lead to ‘labelling’ of the children, yet he is a fervent advocate of setting up such a Task Force. Spyropoulos told the Toronto Star:
“s there the potential that this (special support) can lead to labelling and affect students who are already marginalized? Yes — but we hope this plan is action-oriented enough to address that issue.”

"In parliament. Session started with a strange motion by the speaker whether to allow the pm to speak in the House following his request letter on grounds of Principles of Natural Justice. That debate is on. In lay man's terms, Principles of Natural Justice is an ancient legal principle that holds that an accused person ought to be afforded the opportunity to defend against his charges. My own view which I raised on the floor is that the pm can not address the house because the PNJ applies in a court of law and not parliament because the pm is not an accused person facing the law. Parliament has its own set of rules called by-laws which govern procedural matters. In this case, when the pm lost the confidence of the Prez, he had two options: Either to resign or submit a motion in parliament requesting a vote of confidence. He was particularly advised by the speaker to ask for a confidence. If he followed that route, he would have had a right to present his case before parliament. He rejected that advise. Now parliamentarians have initiated the current motion which is a motion of non-confidence and it is only parliament that can debate this matter. By failing to ask a motion of confidence, the pm has forfeited his right to present his case. Of course his supporters in parliament can speak on his behalf.
PS: It appears that the speaker is going to put this matter for a vote.

Did you examine the content of the video? Did you carry a relationship with the subject of this thread? Why are you claiming to know the person, unless you were involved with him?
How can you testify to the contents of a video unless you were there or you had access to the content?
YOu have some serious explaining to do....just be honest with yourself, and tell us you are in fact grieving for the loss of your lover.
Mida kale, you can't tell people to denounce something and/or someone based on a common religion.
You are not the authority of any religion. Just take sometime to deal with your emotional outburst. Perhaps you should take some time off and grief alone in a dark room.
