  1. ""is dhiib waryee, hawadan waa hawadeydi, is dhiib hadii kale suug baan kula dhici iyo taransate waan ku qarxin awoowgaa dab la gu shidye maxaad soo doontey xiliggan" This is hilarious waryahee nuune, dee nagadaa daqayadaa!!
  2. ^^A voice of experience,it is fascinating to gain an insight, how the relationship has an impact on a younger man.. So when he gets older, after nursing him, allow him to go play father..hayee!! Noted!
  3. I see 15 elders sitting in front of me, joking, laughing and simply getting along, these old men represent all the Somali tribes in our little community association.. I see them again after the meeting, huddling in groups gossiping about each other, I see hypocrasy, I see double faces, I see dishonest...I see the disease!! What do you see?
  4. I wonder what the US is up to now? It must have been a tricky situation for the defence ministry of Somaliland, do you shot the plane down, or turn a blind eye..choice ,choice, choice..

    Why Women??

Aheem, Jacaylbaro ofcourse your an asset here on Women section, how are we to survive without you? One will never know,as your always here.. I am kidding your opinion and contribution is valuable..
  6. "Centuries of having a superiority complex with the view that Somalis are homogenous people. Where even though stateless, we walk around like ‘diamond mine owners’. We are like a vector persistently annoying, but rather ineffective." Da Scarecrow, I should invite you to come and talk to my year 11 group of Somali kids, they are so arrogant, ful of wrong kind of self assertiveness, which causes them to be branded as "diffult, hard to reach, underachieving, trouble makers",their view of life and achievement isnt realistic, and I believe it all steems to what you have said on above quote. Honestly its hard not to get depressed, when your standing on the side observing the destruction within your own community.
  7. I no longer no should I be celebrating, should I still be wary, should I stay optimistic or stare at the hopelessness that seem to be going on beyond.. All I know is am tired of being in diaspora, wasting my talent, energy and above all being an immigrant.I want to go home, live among my own, educate my own, have my own piece of that streched beaches... I want to hold my head high, and say am Somali without meeting the sympathy look from the other person, with a follow up on,"ay I have seen it on the news..why is there war in your county?"
  8. There is usually a much deeper hidden fear, thus breeds the phobia.. Oh my,I should seek counselling very quickly, I seem to fit in with the most categories..

    Why Women??

From my observation it seems SOL-Men are the majority contributers in the womens section, what does this say about the SOL-men, they too need a room just so they can express their concerns...Aaaw, So a renaming is required, so what shall the new section be called?
  10. Return of the Mac, by Morrison comes to mind..lol
  11. We are in no position to even start thinking or contemplate a possible war on Ethiopia to reclaim the land distributed by Colonial powers. Havent we learned anything, nothing will be gained by war,we tried in the late 70's and failed despite out mighty army and nationalism. I believe, that war was the end of the Somalia,we never regained our strenght, despite having some glorious moments during that war..Now at present,we have a long journey yet,not an easy one at that too.
  12. ^^^Loool talk about searching for the elusive other..lol
  13. It all depends on what terms you parted. If it was a mutual agreement, then hi would be appropriet. But if you two parted in anger ,then be cautious, just incase he is still hating your guts.. Personally,I had never parted with someone on bad terms, just stopped, calling them, brushed them off, just just just dumped them..but with a big smile and an apology.. So when we accidently meet, its never ackward..Hi is then appropriet.
  14. AAliyah, I know a 23yr old somali man married to a 38 woman with kids..brave man indeed, but again he is having the time of his life.
  15. Oooooooooouch!! those animals, how humiliating that must have been.. I can never forget a night we were ambushed in our home with thieves wedging mashetees,knives...How we survived that night, a house ful of women only, Only god knows!! subhanallah! While Mbeki is busy policing africa, he should be taking care of his own home affairs, things are rapidly deteriorating. Most of my collegues are white and Black South African, leaving SA in droves because the country is getting unstable.
  16. ^^@half a day younger..lol I wouldnt mind a toy boy,but that will require an amount of patients which I havent been blessed with...I probably end up mothering him,but again arent all men mothered by their wives? True AAliyah, the prophet[pbuh]married Khadija 15yrs his senior and stayed married to her until she passes away..so this is not a new phenomenal that Abdi had just stumbled upon..lol
  17. Age is just a number, got nothing to do with Love.. What would a 44 yr old woman want with a 24 yr old guy,ahmmm..fun!! a 44 yr old man would be about to retire,an old faddy daddy, set in his way..but a young man ready to explore the world, the older woman had acquired enough experience to roll with the explorer..lol
  18. Da Scarecrow, I agree with you that there are elements of deterioration in our morals and ethics in the Diaspora. But I believe it all steems back to Somalia,at what is happening and what has been happening in the last 17yrs. We were once a noble people, proud ,hard working[i am speaking from my experience]..above all we were respected,valued..at least where I grew up.But after the civil war,and since then we have lost our dignity..we have became burdens ,beggars,killers..etc etc... We have angered Allah considerably, and we still havent yet learned our lessons..I see many forums, folks spilling venom at each other..for what an ancestral name? who cares, when you die its you and your camaal that goes infront of Allah. Okay am getting depressed.. As for marrying illegally, unfortunately this system of registering your marriage is completely new to us...so noo qalee! Living on DSS,I cant excuse this honestly as a tax payer,it gets to me that the ones on the dole drive better cars then me..lol,but some folks have no work ethics in the first place,so being here where you get free money for lazying around..is pure heaven. As for the hubby being a boyfriend, it reminds me of this woman, she went to see her GP,she wasnt feeling too good.He confirmed to her after tests, that she was pregnant, the doctor took upon himself to congratulate her, asked her about her husband..ofcourse the xalimo had to pull the old time lie,and said nah, he isnt my husband but my boyfriend. The doctor was a pakistani muslim man, he couldnt help but get very annoyed with her, told her why was she wearing the nikhaab,if she is sleeping around and comitting zinah!! How embarrasing for the sis,she said she wanted the earth to open up and swallow her..she had to tell him the truth,as the doctor was furious!!how she make a mockery of the deen, wear a nikhaab, yet declaring openly that she has comitted zinah! lol..this turned out to be an essay,a bad constructed essay..lol

  20. I see my self in clear day light!!! darn am good looking...He He He. I see confused and angry kids, I see pain in their eyes,I feel their anxiety, I hear their cry....institutional racism/Immigrants/Educating Somali kids in UK..I see the misunderstandings, the misplacement, the mismanagement.. What do you see ?
  21. What is the price of land in Sanaag? Better buy some land make for future investments there, build a nice gateaway lodge ...for urban Faraaxs and Xalimos of the days to come..
  22. Scary!!The man is an animal..Why didnt the mother pour hot oil on his ****** to stop him forever abusing anyone.. They should not only shot him, I think his purnishment should be of slicing him in small pieces until he dies..
