  1. Probably found plenty of buddies and a litter of kids to fondle. Damn dirty arabs probably wont look @ him twice
  2. I really enjoyed it. I like the way you changed it up. In the beginning you were someone who seemed very pious, trying hard to please God, then in the end you show us your weakness, making the speaker sound hopeless which made it more real, someone i can identify with.
  3. LOL! that was funny bro. But eeeeeh....maybe not.
  4. "Wolves, beavers, gibbons, and a small African antelope known as a dik-dik all live in stable, monogamous pairs," Tannen said. "Other animals need to look to them as positive models if we are to have any hope of one day creating an ecosystem of understanding and respect." LOL Mr.Beaver and Gibbon are soooo Progressive!
  5. I really think you all are debating something for the sake of debate. First off there is no clear scientific explanation for how we came to be, I think we all agree on this, otherwise we wouldn't be typing. Secondly, WE ARE MUSLIM! We understand and most importantly ACCEPT! that there are always going to be questions that will NEVER! be answered, at least not in life. So my brothers, and i say "brothers" because this debate seems to be dominated by males as most of these circular never ending and conclusionless debates usually are, you can rest your over worked brains. P.S. There is another wonderful outlet for your need to compete for the prize of "most intelligent faarax award"...its called Starbucks. You will find your predecessors there debating over things they do nothing about. You can sit at there feet with a cappuccino and soak up the plethora of knowledge they have to offer. Dont have a ride home? No worries, an army of taxis await you in the parking lot, just one of the many perks of being such a smart Faarax.
  6. I am so envious of you all who have good eid memories. Unfortunately all of my memories of eid have been in the west and my parents didn't make a big deal out of it, we just went to prayer and had dinner together. I just remember that it was the day i could eat whatever i wanted as much as I wanted. It was also kind of depressing. I would listen to all my aunts and uncles recall their Eids back home. I just remember feeling sad for them and for myself that i would never get memories like that. I did get a chance to have eid in somalia, but during the war. I just remember the kids coming to the door and we'd give them candy...and money for the poor children. It was nice enough, but nothing like they had described. But what they described is gone even for the Somalis who still live in the country. Poverty has the effect of overshadowing.
  7. Wow! You are an energetic one. Well, its nice to know that all of us aren't lay abouts. I on the other hand am suffering from post holloween disorder. Every class i attended today had a mound of candy on the professors desks (left overs from trick o treating). Lets see..hmmm I've had 1. One king size butterfinger 2. One pack of sour gummy worms (YUM YUM) 3. A pack of mini butterfingers 4. A pack of gummy bears. Not to be confused with the worms...they are entirely different. 5. A pack of fish worms. Again, they are totally different since they are cute little fishys instead of bears 6. A cup of coffe (Mild roast, less potent than my usual dark) 7. And FINALLY a pack of gum (juicy fruit to be exact) Now before you gasp in horror...miss "im so fit and high off endorphins:...i did have a smoothie which was made with real berrys and as im sure you know, they are chalk full of antioxidants. So I think today wasn't such a bad day. Oh and by the way...im not fat...im just bloated in some areas...i like to think they are the right ones..but thats for the beholders to decide. What i need from you is a good way to detox myself of all cancer causing subsitutes and red dye # 5 i injested today...and have been for the last month. Dont be too harsh on me im getting over a break up BOO HOO.
  8. Being that we are all muslims (at least i hope we all are), I think that we are in a great position. A cozy balance between creation and science. the quran is filled with scientific facts before man "discovered" them. We know from accounts in the quran that humans have not always looked the same. The prophet Adamn (alayhi salaam) was described to be much taller than men are today. We know that humans have changed, as we continue to, but our origin was not from a primate. Rather we evoloved seperatley. We cannot deny that evolution occured in humans, but at no point were we neanderthaals (Bush and cabinet are the exception. So the question is how to reconcile the evolution of humans and that of other animals.
  9. pride is good...but so is disgust. I find that seeing how ugly something can be while still loving itis a real test of true love. Im sure you all have levels of disgust with Somalia and its people. Yet you write about its beauty in a time in history where you need a bull dozer to dig it out of the steaming sewage that is the war. So your optimism is greatly admired...i could use a spoonful myself. Hopefully your poem will rehabilatate me and cure my chronic indifference.
  10. Although i just joined a few days ago..i've noticed that many of the Great poems have been replyless, while those that although good, but have obvious flaws are full of them. So if you see a poem with that lonely 0 under the reply colum...give it a quick read. You never know, it might make you think.
  11. Now dont take this too seriously friends. I was high on gummy worms when i wrote this. Sugar always makes me crazy LOL! Maybe if I fix my hair right and make my body tight Maybe if I stand tall…shoulders back bust displayed Maybe If I look dismayed…twiddling my thumbs not knowing what to do (gee golly gosh) Maybe if I act like I can’t tie my own shoe Maybe if I signal him to come and save the day Maybe then I can finally get laid P.s Then i'd be signing YIPPIE KI YAYE! Shuuush... dont tell no body.
  12. Freakin A+. I have one suggestion. You had a nice flow going till you were winding up...i think you wanted to fit all your feelings about the issue in but it will sometimes have a crowding effect. Sometimes less is more. Not that my praises me anything but...Keep it up bro!
  13. Its good to know i am not the only one who thinks their stuff is going to blow minds untill i read it the second time. At which point i self loathingly tear it up into tiny tiny tiny microscopic pieces, paranoid that someone may read my psychotic ramblings.
  14. halarious, yet so true its tragic.
