  1. The Harti with largest land mass and over 8 districts has only 6 members in the parliament.
  2. Mr. Game you make a lot of senses these days. If that is the case we could be good neighbors and brothers without that mess.
  3. By the way, last week the Habro decided last week they don't need anyone. THe Awdal elders were told to go home and this election issue will be handled by one branch of the Habro. Since we all went back to the old clan contract, we decided to not renew that contract and go our separate route. The Habro shouldn't be worried , they got the airports, the commercial capital, Bebera port. let us decide and run our affaires and trade like good neighbors.
  4. These figures are sent from Amoud university. It including import levies from Layacado with over 200 trucks a week passing from Djibouti, Sand ( Niista wax lagu dhiso in Djibouti) being hauled from Zaylac area going to Djibouti daily. Head taxes from Djibouti. Every man, woman and child crossing from Lawyacado pays $32 dollars. There is no head taxes or entry fee any other entry whether it is Wajaale, Gaashaamo or entry point from Garoowe or Bari. Thousands people from Djibouti leave the 45C degree temperature and they pay these entry fees. It could be similar to the Hargeisa airport which has one single small plane coming from Ethiopian airline. The chart that we have seen had all the break down of daily cash in take from the city to Lawyacdo. It looked like this: Import taxes from Lawyacado. minimum of 200 trucks per week. Sometimes taxed twice Head taxes from Lawyacdo. $32 dollars per head. Pit sands exported from Zaylac to Djibouti construction sights with zero levy and the contract is between Biihi and Geelle familt. That alone is estimated up to $8 million a year. Qat imports in Awdal from Ethiopia cashes millions of dollars. Property taxes collected from Borama city going directly to Hargeisa banks. Business taxes from the city and towns all going to Hargeisa. Tax from land purchases going directly to Hargeisa. Millions for mineral exploration licenses given to foreign companies. Fishing licenses given to foreign companies from Lawyacado to Lugahaya, mostly Egyptian. Taxes from livestock market. A city of over 200,000 people needs hundreds of goats, cows and camel slaughtered for consumption daily. Livestock bought from the region and taken to Berbera for gulf exports. It was prepared by Amoud university. It could be exaggerated , but Awdal is second in revenue for Somaliland after Woqoyi Galbeed region which is Hargeisa, Berbera and Wajaale. The rest are consumers. The real truth that can't be overlooked is we got nothing back from those taxes. With our own ports and trade routes with DDS the sky is the limit.
  5. By the way Che, The above mentioned Daljire statement is fake news from some sections of the Awdal state that were became dormant years ago. This kid Mukhtaar is my cousin , he is in Jigjiga. an unemployed Youngman some diaspora guys sent few dollars few weeks ago to make a noise. These are our detractors who are throwing some mud to the heavyweights. Our Ugaas was there and that is something big. Furthermore, Dr. Cali Baxar had built schools in all districts surrounding Zatlac and Lughaya. First im makeshift houses then a boarding school in Geb district. His deputy Obsiiye is a well known former minister from the Siilaanyo regime. He resigned and had been out of the country mostly in Mogadishu for the last 6 years. you could get him in youtube talking. Here he is taking about the 1984 Ethiopian jets bombing borama/
  6. che, the above picture is Dr Cali Bahar with the bears, The Ugaas in the middle and former minister of finance Dr. Elmi nuur
  7. Che, friends and others, I am here in Ottawa, the capital of Canada since Thursday. Tonight we concluded two days of consultation, round table discussions and information sharing. The first day was mostly listening members of parliament from Mogadishu including some senators. There was also a heavy dose of preserving Awdal cultural traditions, history and folklore including Zaylici, Balwo, Wilwile and other oral traditions. Xildhibaan and Sheikh Mohamed H. Hadi who collected thousands of Somali books and owns Somali resource center in Ottawa who has collected for years thousands of books, old cassettes and oral literature spoke in length about early traditions of Zaylac and its impacts in Awdal. Guys, this isn't about as our friend Che says, " My village is better than yours" but have patience and stay tuned for my vintage. Also former minister of finance Dr. Elmi Nuur spoke about the future of the federal system, who regions could be aligned in the coming system were early debates are still out of the public eye. He spoke how the Somaliland regions could be divided in two or three states. I will publish later the whole interview I conducted with him including the war against Al-shbaab and the health of president Hassan Sheikh Mohamuud. Despite the rumors, he said HSM is the not only health, but he is an able man who works 16 hours or more to oversee every sector of his government. He explained how the instability and terror could be moving from south central Somali to the northern regions Our great Ugaas C/rashiid Ugaas Rooble was there to open the Shir and he blessed after its conclusion. Rather than have the food prepared by hotels or catering services, we have our women cook the best Somali food you could find in any Somali region. We had Zaylici Surbiyan baked rise for lunch and Haricout and Kimis (Canjeero) for breakfast . " Ah Gobsanaa Hablahaygu" At end of the Shir we gave our ladies a silver cup for their support. My God the carpets we preformed prayers were smelling with " Udug iyo uunsi"and before the trophy was handed to the ladies, we showed the poem Bashiir Gooth made 40 years ago called " Inanta (Gabadha) Boorame. Listen from the 3rd minute to 6th. the rest is something else. The second day was mostly facts and figures prepared by economists showing the taxes collected from the Awdal region to the tune of $80 million a years. On that huge amount of money only $150,000 is spent in Awdal. Among the $300 million foreign aid given to Somaliland less than 1% had reached Awdal. Imagine a region with no ports or roads is producing $80 million a year. What would happen if we lift the clan blockades , build ports and roads. WE had listened how the border from Awdal to Ethiopia is closed since 1994. The SNM claimed that Al-Ithihaad movement is crossing from Borama and these region must be closed. After Islamic groups disappeared late nineties they didn't stop there. They said ONLF fighters had used Lughaya and fighters from Eritrea had crossed from Awdal to Ethiopia, so the border region was shut down good by the TPLF. The ruling clan doesn't want anything to cross from Awdal while having over 250 KM of border with the Somali region. Furthermore, minerals, precious stones and others were looted by foreign companies and other given licenses with zero accountability. Individuals from Mogadishu, India, Burco, and many other places were given licenses to loot the land. You have a Chinese man building a villa near the mining area protected by locals after giving them $80 dollars a month. Sands for construction is collected from Lughaya and Zaylac while the money is pocketed by Biixi family connected oligarchs. More than 28 licenses were given outsiders to mine while chemicals and acid left behind is killing the livestock. Somaliland system of government, economy and everything it stands were in trail, and speakers found the current system guilty of dysfunction, nepotism, economic isolation, blockade and clannish that could not be tolerated anymore. Other than the $150,000 a year they spend on salaries for the few bureaucrats, there are no government or foreign funded projects. The current crop of leaders were the same Calan Cas who forced C/rahman Tuur and his deputy to declare secession at gun point without thinking consequences. After long deliberations the delegates had voted: 1- a charter that stipulated for Awdal to be a sovereign region that is free for its political, economy and culture ( Maamul u madax banaan siyaasadiisa, dhaqaalihiisa iyo dhaqankiisa). 2-The leadership were tasked to achieve these goal by any means necessary. 3-The next Shir should move to the region and bring the locals to the movement 4- The organization shall be called Awdal State Movement (Dhaqdhaqaaqa Maamulka Awdal). At the end a leadership for ASM was elected comprised of : A Chairman of the central committee which will be a minimum of 50 and his deputy. Hogaamiyaha golaha fulinta not a president like before. Two Deputy hogaamiye ku xigeeno and a secretary were elected by proclamation. The biggest surprise to many people will be the strongly worded communique that was released in Somali, English and French ( French was the preferred language of our community which is dominants in the bi-lingual capital of Canada). It should be released within the next hour. Among the highlights were: Dhaqdhaqaaqa Maamulka Awdal waxa uu ka baxay dhamaan heshiisyadii qabaa'ilka ee la galay 91 iyo sanadihii ku xigay oo maamulka fashilmay lagu asaasay. Waxa uu dalbanayaa askarta, maxaabiista ah , kuwa dhaawaca, iyo kuwa ku jira maamulka Hargeisa in ay sida ugu dhaqsiyo badan uga baxaan oo degaanadoodi tagaan. and many more. Dr. Cali Ibraahim Baxar (PHD) was elected hogaamiyaha . These are some of the highlights, It is midnight here, so will leave it there.
  8. It could be great if a quarter of what you suggested were implemented. As you said not only grievances and resource dispute, but also the governing system must be overhauled. So far Somaliland is unable to produce leaders with great visions of development. Everything is revolved around Berbera and Hargeisa while dispatching illiterates governors to oversee the elders and locals. As we witnessed today, they even discarded the check and balances and moved to open clan system. Any way, I don't have time to debate today.
  9. Warya Game, Hablaha duriyadu af xumaa. Waar gabdhaha bara sida loo hadlo, waa maxay " Hooyadiin sidaa ku sameeya". She is probably from Burco where dirty language is the norm.
  10. Especially, the south Hargeisa boys are making the waves. The good news is Buurmadow led HJ will not join the fight this time around.
  11. That is what I said. Neither Faysal Waraabe nor Cirro would demand the resignation of Muuse bIixi. Not only that , Biixi had co-opted the whole population of Hargeisa and Burco. A friend of mine whose brother is in the local police told me that today in Hargeisa and Burco, everyone, young and old, men and women are all talking about and agreed to take revenge ( Waa in aynu soo aargoosanaa wax aan ahayn kama socdaan labadaa magaalo).
  12. his target has always been Berbera since day one. in November 2022 when Americans and African forces decided to hold military exercise , Geelle went in panic. The only reason he is using Somaliland is his fear of opposition bases in Awdal which could threaten his power.
  13. I agree. Be careful of the elders going back and forth to the house of Morgan.
  14. The fact is Biixi can't help Geelle and vice versa. For the three gangs of the Somali peninsula, one weak link from Hageisa is down. Geelle could be next, and HSM will finish his term chasing his tails. Hal dhegdheer is done more to flow.
  15. It is a translated twitter page with pictures of the premier presiding the meeting sent to me by a Djiboutian friend. I am not a high tech guy like these kids to search and provide the link.
  16. By the way, La Nation of Djibouti this press report from the office of the prime minister of Djibouti r today. "The prime minister chaired an emergency cabinet meeting today to prepare insecurity emanating from insecure border with Somaliland as a result of Somaliland administration's political and military collapse. The PM is reported to have told the cabinet that Djibouti is entering a heightened state of emergency and the state of vigilance to prepare for potential security challenge as a result of weakened Somaliland, leading to a full collapse of the administration" Omar Geelle is in panick.
  17. Saalax, You guys don't get. THese East Burco guys haven't resolved anything. This is nothing but a move to keep Muuse Biixi. You can't keep the failed leader another 15 months. You should never accept an election managed by Muuse. Here are the main counter points or what the East Burco elders supposed to say: 1- Muuse Biixi must resign and transfer power since he doesn't have any moral ground to continue. 2- Since SSC left the system a conference must be held to renegotiate a new deal 3- Abolish the election commission and the new commission must be appointed by independent body. clan elders must appoint the new commission. 4- Since the Guurti and parliament became useless and unable to find any solutions elders must write the rules and replace them. 5- It isn't even Islamic to demand 120 camels for compensation of the dead. finally, the East Burco elders doesn't represent Somaliland. They are probably trying to save Muuse and their ill gotten money. If one Habar is speaking for all , we have a Habar in Awdal( Habar C...n) and they should talk. Saalax, your folks are greedy who are double talking. Finish off Muuse, then talk later. Or just wait for us in a few months.
  18. This is the best thread you have since you have been here. I really agree your assessment. Most western nations are abandoning their human right tractions, democracy and God forbid they might even discard the rule of law in order to keep certain races to remain power. The USA might not even survive in another election that pits these two 80 years old men. Our friend Che used to say that Somalis need an anchor state to survive for the future. If the west goes tribal there is no hope but to plan for another future. Just look at Sool, people are dying in these plains since 1920. 100 years ago hose wars for for liberation against British colonialism, and today some are nostalgic for that history. Nations and people usually have only one flag. No one cares the flag at city hole or the Vermont or California flag, yet each clan had created its own flag and we are paying the price. We might not survive if we don't wise up.
  19. Isn't Xiingalool on the side of Sanaag Bari ( Maakhir)? history will be harsh for Ina Cambaashe.
  20. I am not arguing for Somaliland to continue, that ship has sailed, but in the short term they can't have their cake and eat it We Awdalites want one of our own albeit a weak one to supervise the desolation of Somaliland.I know those who are working for the free Awdal movement hate one of our own to be used against us which might divide us, but the retard Cirro who should have called yesterday the resignation of Muuse was treated again as a house nigger and I don't want that fool to be in charge anymore.
  21. Warya Che, You want to throw away the only thing that is ;lawful and logical? They should transfer power to C/rahman Zaylici, then talk how to move. Are you aking them to do illegal things. This is a power struggle among Habro, but they can't make a coup.I know you thing Zaylici is from Awdal and he is insignificant, but without Awdal there will be no Somaliland.
  22. A military with 22 armoured trucks and 58 technicals does need help. 1900 soldiers and one battle should be able to defend themselves. By the way more Somali soldiers are killed while sitting in their bases than fighting Al-shabaab. As long as incompetent people and fake generals are in charge more soldiers will die
  23. One very strange thing is general Bootaan. The way he spoke and how he is treated is very strange. As soon as he was captured, he said, " Haddiii guriga Madaxweynaha, ama ku xigeenks ama Graad Jaamac midkaad doontaan i geeye. The Garaads were talking about threating the prisons well which normal. Yet this general Bootaan is now at the house of the vice president. He said " I am at the house of the vice president, members of parliament are here, Waa la ii shaqaynayyaa" This Khaatumo SSC isn't yet an organized administration. This kind of moves might even create unwanted friction among themselves.
  24. I was wondering how the SSC forces have reached Yagoori early in the morning and cover 70 km while the fighting was underway at Maraaga and Goojace. This was a total assault from Tuulo Samakaab all the way to Yagoori. That is they intercepted Bootaan and others because they were ahead in Wadada Laamiga.
  25. I heard that two days before the attack the SSC leadership visited the front and said let us finish them off. Both Goojacade and Maraaga was attacked in three fronts like the Stalingaraad attack of the soviets. I think the narrative of the victor is probably true. If there is a pull out why top officers were wondering in the country side disoriented and covered by the dust. The people of SSC deserve this. We all hope that Muuse & company to stay in OOG and don't try another foolish adventure. In his speech today he said " waan soo aar goosanaynaa"
