Abu Dawood (2050) narrated that Ma’qil ibn Yazaar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allaah, I have found a woman who is from a good family and is beautiful, but she does not bear children; should I marry her?” He told him not to. Then he came to him a second time and said something similar and he told him not to marry her. Then he came to him a third time and said something similar and he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Marry the one who is loving and fertile, for I will be proud of your great numbers.”
  8. I have always wondered why Black Africans(including we) and their descendents love dancing and singing so much? If they are happy, they start to sing and dance at once. If they are sad, they are starting to sing and play drums. That can go over and over again during hours is something so typically African and from blacks worldwide that amazes me. Other peoples love dancing and singing, like Polynesians, Amerindians and even Europeans, but no usually in all occasions like Black populations. You can notes that anywhere there are black people, in different regions and cultures, so it doesn't seem something learned only. So, I wonder, the fact that Blacks love dancing and singing so much is it something genetically?

Nothing is free and sent down to you (except the noble Quran), so yes, everything has a price wheather its hard money or just plain good ol' hard work. Do people have a price? That's a different question (and one you probably meant). since you believed that quran has no price, that means not everything has a price. but you inf you can buy the quran from any book shop so you are wrong. everything is included people faith also, yes heaven(janna) has a price and faith in islam is the heaven(janna) price but is people faith has price too?
  11. I have been around old ladies my entire life, they have special way to talk such like stretching the words and adding some emotions to it. for those who have not sit down and listened to old somali women talk, you need to see this video to understand my point.

  14. Is there anything you wouldn't do if the price were right? Other than harm friends or family. No matter the amount or how badly I needed it, I can think of hundreds, probably even thousands of things just off the top of my head that I wouldn't do for any amount, under any circumstances. Like if someone said, convert to a religion other than Islam and you can have 1 million dollars, No thanks! Islam is something we can't live without it. I am sure you all know that.

  19. I was having a lively discussion with one of my friends which is If a person was raised and lives under a different culture among people of different ethnicity, no contact with his culture or people, how would he react when he see his people for the first time? Will he feel identified or no? Before I went to Somaliland last summer, I always defined myself as being “Somali”. Whenever someone asked me where I was from? I always responded with “I’m Somali”. I was very proud to be Somali and that for sure gave me something to hold onto as an identity in the Arab culture. but my major shock was that I didn't understand the people there and there were times I felt I related more to Arabs than the Somalis there After this experience I’ve come to realize that even though I’m racially Somali, I’m not culturally a real Somali because you can be a certain race, but not identify with it culturally which means in my opinion that culture is stronger than race.

  21. Aaliyyah;790982 wrote: Fact #1 , Somaliland is not a country. Secondly, it is a fallacy that Somaliland sustained without foreign support. Even though the international community is not going to give Somaliland recognition, they are still forking over millions of dollars in foreign aid. I believe they knew the Somaliland officials would not use the money for the benefit of the region's infrastructure and would likely use it for war and personal use. With evidence of government corruption, killings of innocent people, electoral fraud, and nepotism they must not have been far off the mark. You are praising Somaliland for helping fellow Somalis who are running for their lives in the south. By the same token, you are saying I dont care about these people when referring to the Somali people in Buhodle who are being attacked by Somaliland. Do you see your hypocrisy? do you honestly think you are being genuine about Somali unity. And, Somaliland needs to stop funding their uncle who is the leader of Al-shabab. That is what the Somali people in Mugadishu need the most from Somaliland. girls you full of hate against somaliland allah ahdekke, but really posting the celebration parties showing how much you care for innocent people who been killed.

  23. Many of us are bilingual or even multilingual, but I'm curious...what language do you use when you're thinking? Do you use the same language as the one you're conversing with? Honestly, I think in Arabic...which is probably why I'm more comfortable talking in Arabic than in Somali. maybe because everyday conversation, I talk more in Arabic than in Somali. Looking back though, I learned Arabic in school and Somali at home. I guss this is reason which make my somali language Little bit weak.
  24. Firstly I would like to clear one point that I proud that Somaliland is the only country sustained for 20 years without international community's support or recognition, and I am nobody can deny that Somaliland makes a peaceful environment and perfect choice for the all Somalis running from their area to safe their life. So that not seem to me that Somaliland was spending chasing its tail over 20yrs. I also believe that outsiders interested in exploiting Somalia want us to divide amongst ourselves while they will manipulate and reap the benefits - so they seem Somaliland desire to divide from Somalia as allowing all of us to fall prey to neo-colonialism. Aaliyyah, To be honest, I do not "care" about these people, at all, but I felt bad for the people who died and their families after hearing the news.
  25. you right Aalliyyah, and Islam regulates the relation between the two sexes in a way that safeguards morals and modesty. As interaction between men and women is sometimes unavoidable, Shari`ah sets conditions and boundaries that must be observed in such situations. However, unfortunately, a lot of Muslims have taken the liberty of mimicking the Western lifestyle, playing around such boundaries and making false excuses to justify their unacceptable behaviors. woman can be friend with her Brother, Father, Husband, son etc, its encouraged.
