  2. It was reported from Abu Umaamah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The angel on the left does not write down anything until six hours have passed after a Muslim does a bad deed. If he regrets it and asks Allaah for forgiveness, he casts it aside [does not write it down], otherwise he writes down one (sayi’ah/bad deed).”

(Narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, 8/158. The hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2/212)

  3. Among the stories related in the books of hadith and sirah is the report that once an old woman came to the Prophet and said: "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that I will enter Paradise." He said jokingly, "O Mother of So-and-so, no old women will enter Paradise." The old woman went away crying :( , so the Prophet said, "Tell her that she will not enter Paradise as an old woman, for Allah says: "We have created [their Companions] of special creation, and made them virgin-pure" (Quran 56:35-36)." :D

  4. In 1925, Kamal Ataturk, father of post-Ottoman Turkey, imposed the Hat Law, banning the traditional fez cap for men. The penalty for wearing one was death. That was his idea of secularism.

In 1928, Reza Khan, another soldier who seized power, passed a copycat Uniform Dress Law in neighbouring Iran. It decreed European attire for men and, in 1936, banned the hijab for women. That was his idea of Europeanizing Muslims.

Last year, seven states in Germany banned the hijab for teachers. That was their idea of protecting German identity.

On Tuesday, the French Assembly overwhelmingly approved a ban on the hijab for school students. That is their idea of securing French secularism.

Some German and French citizens envisage extending the hijab ban well beyond schools. That's their idea of emancipating all its wearers.

Over the years, rulers of a different kind — such as the Taliban in Afghanistan — have also waded in. They decreed the opposite: that women must wear the veil or the chador, on pain of being jailed or whipped. That has been their idea of Islam.

As the target of fascist, feminist or racist and mostly male wrath, the hijabi woman is victimized both by those wanting to subjugate her and those who would liberate her. Or she is scapegoated, in the service of one ideology or another.

What is it about her that so rattles dictators and democrats alike?

She is the battleground for the armies of those out to purify Islam or demonize it.

The fatwas of the German and French governments echo those of Ataturk and the first Shah of Iran. They are interpreting secularism the way the despots did: as anti-religious — more precisely, anti-Islamic — rather than by its essential premise of neutrality toward all faiths.

Unlike France, the German regional governments have targeted only the hijab. France proposes to proscribe all "ostentatious" religious symbols, including the kippa and the crucifix.

Bavaria and other states have been blatant, even if confused.

One rationalized the ban under the rubric of progressivism, calling the hijab "a symbol of fundamentalism and extremism." The justice minister of another was more forthright: German school children "have to learn the roots of Christian religion and European culture."

In the case of France, few are fooled by the rhetoric that schools be free of not just Islamic but all religious influences.

First, there are the Freudian slips, exemplified by Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin: France is "the old land of Christianity" in which new citizens, regardless of their faith, must conform to majoritarian norms.

The more persuasive argument, best enunciated by secularist author Guy Coq, is the need to safeguard the ideals of the 1789 French Revolution: "If we bow to demands to allow the practice of religion in state institutions, we will put the French identity in peril."

But no sooner had he hit the high note of principle than he slipped into the abyss of prejudice: "To disarm fundamentalism, notably Islamic fundamentalism, can we give up laïcité, which builds a neutral space?"

But laïcité — separation of state and religion — is already compromised by state subsidies to Christian and Jewish separate schools, where students are taught religious values and, in some cases, segregated by sex.

Will tax dollars be made available to Muslim private schools, which are bound to mushroom?

The proposed law, which now goes to the French senate for rubberstamping, guarantees uneven results by leaving too much to subjective interpretation.

Teachers and administrators will rule whether a bandanna on a Muslim girl, or a beard on a Muslim boy, would violate the law but not on students of other faiths or no faith at all.

    And what of the Sikhs?

    This is treacherous turf.

Two more dubious rationales have been proffered.

One ascribes a political, as opposed to religious, motive to the hijab and invests it with radical attributes.

Alain Juppe, a former prime minister, encapsulates it thus: "It's not paranoid to say we're faced with a rise of political and religious fanaticism."

The second posits the hijab ban as a tool for battling anti-Semitism. The formulation of Education Minister Luc Ferry stacks up thus: Hijab is a/the source of anti-Semitism. Ban it, and the problem will be minimized/solved.

This is as dishonest as it gets.

Anti-Semitism in France is too deep-rooted and widespread to be laid at the feet of Muslim teenage girls from immigrant homes. The biggest culprits are Jean-Marie Le Pen's millions of followers, whom President Jacques Chirac is, in fact, trying to appease with the hijab ban.

While some Jewish groups have gone along with the law, others see it for what it is: "disgraceful" and "sad," as described in London by Lord Greville Janner, vice-president of the World Jewish Congress.

French politicians and media also cite the pro-ban views of some Muslims as proof of the soundness of the decision. Others note that a majority of Muslim women in France, indeed across the world, do not wear the hijab.

This is as ignorant as it is racist.

That a majority of Christians do not go to church on Sundays does not negate the right of those who do.

That a majority of Jews are not Orthodox does not derogate from the fundamental religious right of those who wear the yarmulke and long locks.

That some Sikhs shave doesn't mean that others do not have the right to believe their religion commands otherwise.

It is absurd to expect all Muslims to speak with one voice on religious matters.

It is downright authoritarian to present as legitimate the views of only those Muslims who echo government thinking.

Germany and France are moving in the direction of Turkey, while the latter is moving toward European norms in order to join the European Union.

Turkish women on the public payroll are still banned from wearing the hijab. But the mildy Islamist government of Tayyib Erdogan, moving toward restoring the human rights of Kurds and others, could conceivably lift the ban.

It is ironic that while Ataturk's legacy is being dismantled in its homeland, parts of it are being imposed in democratic Europe.

Meanwhile, across the Muslim world, people will see the French and German initiatives as another instance of Islamophobia gripping the West.

They, like the Muslim girls in Europe, likely will find solace in more Islam, not less.

  5. There is a place in which I love to be

    When I cannot reach

    my mother's comforting arms...

There is a place in which I love to be

When I think of the sparkle in a child's eye as he prays with his father...

There is a place in which I love to be when the stars are

bright, my heart is light and my mind is free...

    When I'm blessed with success.

When I'm warm in my bed

When smiles are sincere and my mind is clear

There is a place in which I love to be...

There is a place in which I love to be when I'm discouraged

by defeat, insulted by those that I love, and disappointed by my

irresponsibility. Then, there is a place in which I need to be...

    When commitments are weakened,

Diamonds stop shining and strengths are forgotten ...

There is one place in which I love to be...

Down on my knees, with tears in my heart, my head to the floor. In submission to God is the only place in which I love to be.

  6. Dunya! Dunya! Dunya!

In our walking, in our talking, in our sleeping, in our hoping,

What is the matter with us?

Death is all around us, the reminder of the destroyer of pleasure.

Death is a lesson to us and yet we take no heed. It no longer means anything to us, except that another person is no longer around. (How sad!)

The love for this Dunya courses through our veins, our lives have integrated with the Dunya and our hopes are for the glitter and gain of this Dunya. Look at yourself! are YOU ready to die?

Every time a person dies, be it an accident or a heart attack, it is a

warning, a reminder, a taunt (it could have been you!)

    "Imagine."

In the last few days of Ramadan, we heard of a brother who died. He was

making wudhoo and either during it or upon completing it, he slipped. As

he slipped, he hit his head on the floor and his living in this Dunya

was over. He was a young brother, 24, or 25 yrs. old and he had only days before became the father of his second child. Was HE ready to die?

SubhanaAllah imagine. Imagine if you slipped as this brother did whilst

completing a normal everyday act in the safety of your own home. Would

    YOU be ready to die?

Allah forbid, but imagine, what if you were amongst those of weak Iman. Sinning, slipping and neglecting. One of those intending to do good tomorrow or one who used to say, "I'll repent next time" or "I haven't got time, I'm too busy."

What if you were one whose soul became terrified at the time of death

and would not leave your body?

If it had to be ripped, out, shredding in the process. If it were wrapped in a stinking coarse cloth and then taken up to the heavens.

Imagine if the Gates of Paradise were locked tight against you.

Imagine if then your soul was flung back down to your grave where the

angels Munkar and Nakeer would come to ask the three questions. What if

you were of such weak Iman that you could barely answer them?

Imagine your sins coming to you in your grave in the form of an ugly, foul-smelling person, who would strike you between the eyes with a hammer, a strike such that would cause your whole head to shatter and you to emit such a scream.

And, to think, everything you left behind in the Dunya, everything you

strived for, craved and accumulated in the Dunya would remain, as it was---As useless now as it was then, only then you didn't realize.

On the Day when there will be no one but you, On the Day when you will forget your mother and your mother will forget you, When your spouse will think only of himself or herself, When your friends will no longer be your friends.

On that Day when you will be so alone, as you could never imagine. When

you have to face Allah and the accounting will be established, and when

only good deeds will avail you.

What good then will worldly possessions be? How then will your beloved Dunya save you? What use will it be then to think, " I wasn't ready," " I didn't make use of my time", " I should have done more."

I should have guarded my fard.

I should have read the Qur'an.

I should have strived to gain knowledge.

I should have made more time.

I should have done nawafil actions.

I should have controlled my tongue.

I should have lowered my gaze.

I should have asked them to forgive me.

I should have strived to be a person of the Akhirah rather than a person

    of the Dunya.

What use will it be then?

Ya Allah forgive us for all our sins,

Ya Allah strengthen us in our Iman, in our Taqwa, in our striving for

    the good of the Akhirah.

Ya Allah make us strong against the fitnah of this Dunya and the evils

    of our own Nafs.

Ya Allah let death be a reminder for us.

Ya Allah save us from the death of sinners and kafirs.

Ya Allah do not let us die in any state other than the state of Islam.

Ya Allah do not let us be amongst those who will be lost on the Day of

Judgement, those whose faces will be black, who will receive their

record of deeds in their left hand, those whom You will turn away from.

Ya Allah make us amongst those who weep over our sins out of fear of

    You, in this Dunya.

Ya Allah help us to dissociate ourselves from this Dunya and to be of

those who will be successful in the Akhirah,

    Ameen

Allah gives and Forgives, Man gets and FORGETS!

  7. It is a universally accepted and indisputable fact that smoking has many

serious health and life hazards, for example, lung cancer, etc. to the

smoker as well as those (non-smokers) in his (smokers) environment,

therefore, not permissible. Shari'ah has explained in great length the

importance and virtue of good health to the extent that Rasulullah

(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) even advised to maintain a balance in eating

and drinking as an imbalance could be harmful to health. He advised having

dates, being hot in nature with cucumber, as it (cucumber) has a cooling

effect. (Shamaail). On one occasion, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi

Wasallam) even stopped Hadhrat Ali (Radhiallaahu Anhu) from eating dates

upon recovering from his illness and advised him to have vegetables instead.

Although dates is not only nutritious but also a means of obtaining

blessing, but in certain conditions, since it could be harmful, Rasulullah

(Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) advised against it. From that, one can gauge

the extent of abstaining from cigarettes which contain many harmful

ingredients, for example, carbon monoxide, nicotine, tar and benzene vapour.

Therefore, smoking is harmful to the smoker as well as those around him.

Consider the following: Muhammad Abdul Ghaffaar al-Afghan in his book,

'Ninety nine harms of smoking' has said that smoking results in many

sicknesses which doctors have explained and they all amount to ninety nine.

Doctor Salahuddeen Abdur-Rabbi Nabiy, a neuro surgeon in Cairo says, 'When a

person becomes enslaved to the habit of smoking, it has a very harmful

effect on the smoker's health, especially to his heart. As a result his

heart beat and blood circulation becomes unstable and he experiences

drowsiness from time to time due to the shrinkin of his brain arteries.

Sometimes during old age, he suffers from high blood pressure and angina.

Similarly, his digestive and respiratory systems are harmed and the smoker

loses his appetite. He is also afflicted by a cough which is known as the

smoker's cough. When his nervous system is affected the smoker feels a

prickly sensation, a numbness in his limbs and also a pain in the nerves.'

In the annual conference of the American Doctors Council which took place in

Chicago in 1966, the main topic discussed was the harms of smoking. Doctors,

who were aware of the role that smoking played in lung cancer, became

alarmed when they heard that the least harm smoking causes is that at

arouses anxiety. Doctor Edward Kweller Hammond, head of statistics in the

Cancer Association of America said, "Verily lung cancer which is caused by

smoking cigarettes is not so serious in comparison to the injury caused by

smoking with other means." It is stated in the ninth edition of "World of

Knowledge" magazine that the time has come wherein it has become necessary

to expose all the harms of smoking. It should also be realised that these

    dispecable substances even cause death.

It is also necessary to elucidate the harms of smoking in the hope of saving

many intelligent and educated youth, who will be astonished on how much has

been written regarding this topic. It is also stated in the above-mentioned

magazine under the following heading, "Cancer Caused by Smoking":

This fatal illness is the culmination of many illnesses which are the result

of thin blood and other sicknesses which are related to the blood vessels.

All these are connected to this loathsome substances. However, lung cancer

is the most likely outcome of smoking.

Lung cancer was a very rare disease but the end of this century witnessed a

high rise in its occurance, primarily in men and thereafter in women. In the

beginning of the sixties, the death rate due to lung cancer increased

compared to before. Smoking also yields other health hazards besides its

    general and specific economic harms.

PROOF FOR THE PROHIBITION OF SMOKING

Smoking did not exist in the time of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi

Wasallam), but our magnificent Deen has laid down general principles from

which many laws are derived. From these principles, the Ulama (Allah's mercy

be upon them) have come to the conclusion that smoking is Haraam.

An Aayaat of the Noble Qur'aan states, 'And do not throw yourself into

destruction with your own hands.' (Baqarah 195). Smoking causes fatal

sicknesses, for example, lung cancer, tuberculosis, etc.

In another Aayat, Allah Ta'ala says, 'And do not kill yourselves'. (Nisaa

29). Nabi Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said, 'Whomsoever drinks poison,

thereby killing himself, will sip this poison forever and ever in the fire

    of Jahannum.'

Cigarettes consist of many poisonous substances and furthermore, the smoker

indulges in a slow suicidal act by smoking this poison.

and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best smile.gif

  8. All I have to say is, if Hijab was not compulsary, I wouldn't be wearing it....for those of you who agree that hijab is out of choice, than you guys have been brainwashed by the western society...if hijab is a choice, than why do you wear it at the mosque? you don't see one girl with out a hijab. The quran does state that women should wear hijab...so my sisters, I know its hard wearing hijab, especially in the western society BUT we will have the last laugh on judgement day...so be happy and represent your religion. ;)

  9. He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam also said: "Whoever imbibes poison, killing himself with it, will be consuming his poison in the Hell-fire and will dwell therein eternally." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari)

This is a proof that smoking is haram, from Al-Bukhaari.

  10. Smoking is haram...anything that will harm your body and that would kill you is haram. Smoking is like slow suicide, you know its going to kill you, you know its going give you cancer, so how is it not haram?

  11. The Evil of Smoking

Smoking was discovered by the Spanish conquistadors in America, about 500 years ago; from Spain, it spread to the rest of Europe, and thence to the Muslim world about 100 years later.

Unfortunately, while the West has long realized the dangers of smoking and attempted to reduce it, in the Muslim lands, it has spread with little or no interference.

Early Muslim scholars, confronted with this obnoxious habit, declared it to be makrooh (detested), comparing it with such things as garlic and onions. This was due to the fact that, at that time, noone was aware of the harmful effects produced by smoking, which include, cancer, heart disease, strokes, miscarriages and premature birth in women and several other diseases.

Since it has become clear that smoking is harmful, it is obligatory upon all Muslims to abstain from it, for Allaah has said: { And do not kill yourselves, Allaah is indeed Merciful to you } (Soorah 4:29), and the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "Let there be no harming and no reciprocating harm." (Narrated by Ahmad).

Unfortunately, some Muslims, either deliberately, or through ignorance, have been guilty of misleading Muslims, by repeating the earlier judgements of scholars, that smoking is only disliked, and therefore, not forbidden.

The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam also said: "The feet of man will not depart, on the Day of Judgement, from his standing before his Lord, until he is asked about five things: His lifetime and how he spent it; his youth and how he used it; his wealth - where he earned it and how he spent it; and how he followed what he knew." (Narrated by At-Tirmizi)

He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam also said: "Whoever imbibes poison, killing himself with it, will be consuming his poison in the Hell-fire and will dwell therein eternally." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari)

Smoking is also harmful to the human mind and reason. One only has to observe a smoker who has been deprived of his cigarettes for a while: He is rude, nervous, quick to anger and incapable of concentration. He cannot relax until he has had his "fix". He is affected by insomnia, indigestion, episodes of acute anxiety and so on…

Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "Anyone who believes in Allaah and the Last Day should not hurt his neighbour." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari)

He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam also said: "Verily, the example of a good companion and a bad one is like that of a perfume seller and a blacksmith: As for the perfume seller, he would either give you (some perfume), or you would buy (some) from him, or at least, you would get a good smell from him. And as for the blower of the bellows, you would either get a foul odour from him, or he would burn your clothes." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari and Muslim)

Smoking is also a waste of one’s wealth on things which offer only harm and no benefit, for Allaah, Most High says: { And do not waste [your wealth] extravagantly. Indeed the squanderers are brethren to the devils are brethren to the devils } (Soorah 17:26-27)

and the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "Allaah hates for you three things: Gossipping, begging and wasting money." (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari and Muslim).

Smoking involves consuming an evil substance. It has a noxious smell, a horrible taste and is harmful to the body. Allaah says: { He [the Prophet e] who will enjoin upon them the doing of what is right, forbid them from wrongdoing, make lawful to them the good things of life, forbid for them the evil things and lift from them their burdens and the shackles that were [formerly] upon them } (Soorah 7:157)

A smoker is not only a faasid (corrupt person), but also a mufsid (one who spreads corruption): Because of his bad example, his family members, friends and colleagues may also smoke. It is useless to say: "Do as I say, and not as I do." The problem is exacerbated when the smoker affects an air of religious piety or knowledge, because many people will take him as a role model. This multiplies his sins and increases his burden.

Genuinely pious people avoid smoking and smokers, thus the smoker is excluded from the company of the righteous.

Smokers find fasting during the month of Ramadhaan more difficult thatn non-smokers, because they are suffering a form of drug addiction. They rarely fast voluntary fasts since even the obligatory fast is a trial for them.

The prohibition of smoking applies equally to the user, the seller, the manufacturer, the advertiser and all those involved in its production, sale or consumption, for Allaah says: { Coop-erate with one another in righteousness and piety, and do not cooperate with one another in sinning and transgression. And fear Allaah; verily, Allaah is severe in punishment } (Soorah 5:2)

and the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "Indeed, when Allaah prohibits something, he prohibits eating its price." (Narrated by Ahmad)

So dear brothers and sisters, if you are addicted to this foul habit, you must make your intention firmly to Allaah to stop and seek aid with Him Who hears and sees all, and always answers the supplication of the sincere Believer. He, Most High says: { And when My slaves ask you about Me, [oh, Muhammad, say that] verily, I am near [in hearing, seeing and know-ledge]: I answer the supplication of the one who asks when he asks Me } (Soorah 2:186)

  12. This Message is to You O Concealed Jewel, O Protected Rose !

It is to you, the Cultivator of Generations, Producer or Great Men.

I will point out in it some of what Islam requires of the individual and the society concerning the rights of women .....

    1. Have you seen the Jewel? Why is it that the people love it while it is simply a piece of stone? It is because it is not so easy to see it, nor can you touch it except by paying an exorbitant price. Similar is the case of the woman – it is forbidden for a man to see her or touch her, in order that he does not dishonor her. She is like an untouched (pure) jewel, which is affected by the least touch.

    2. Have you seen how a rose wilts, withers, and loses it luster and beauty if it is touched too much. Likewise, the woman is not allowed to be touched except by one in a lawful relationship of marriage. And whoever attempts to touch her – unlawfully – will earn a severe punishment or death.

    3. Do you know the punishment for one who violates the marriage trust and cheats on his wife? The penalty is death, since he has fallen short in regards to the jewel which is with him, in addition to transgressing the rights of others.

    4. Have you seen a jewel searching for a person (to possess it)? The same is the case of the women, like a precious jewel, she is the one who is sought out, not the seeker. It is incumbent upon the man to seek her hand. And if she agrees to marry him, then he will present to her a marriage dowry and something from his wealth.

    5. Consider the Ruler or Head of State – if every one were able to speak to him directly and sit in his presence, he wouldn't be held in awe, nor possess the same prestige and status amongst the people that he has. Similarly, the woman is like a noble Queen. It is not the right of every person to speak to her directly or sit in her presence; this is something allowed to the select few.

    6. The Supreme Being has created the male strong of body in order that he may go out and earn his livelihood, even in difficult circumstances. This is so that he may serve the women and children of his family. As for the woman, she has been created gentle, soft and sensitive, so that she may cultivate the future generations. The man goes out and works with the natural elements, while the woman deals with the human being (raising the children).

    7. What do you think would happen if a lion and gazelle were placed together in one place? Is it possible for them to co-exist? Obviously not! Likewise, it is of necessity that the man be separated from the woman, in the interest of the woman. She is beautiful, attractive and weak. Hence, the strong will overcome her and devour her and violate her chastity – even if she were not willing.

    8. The woman who performs work equal to the work of a man is entitled to – and is given – the same salary as the man.

    9. The woman is allowed to work in any occupation, which she is capable of, as long as it is in consonance with the nature of her delicate physique.

    10. The woman – like man - is addressed in the divine revelation with responsibilities for which she - like man - is equally rewarded.

He also said: The best of you are those who are the best in the treatment of their wives. He also said: No one honors the woman except an honorable man. And no one humiliates her or holds her in contempt except one who is evil, vile, wicked and depraved.

With these words I address you – as someone of intelligence:

Is there any greater Honor than this?

  13. When Does a Woman Become More Beautiful?

One day, Myself - forever forbidding me from good, and enticing me into evil - asked me, “When does a woman become more beautiful in your eyes?”

I asked, “Why do you want to know?”

Myself said, “If I tell you, will you answer my question? ”

    I said, “Yes!”

Myself said, “Satan - our grand teacher - is making a survey of what makes the woman more beautiful in the eyes of men”

I asked, “What's this survey for?”

Myself said, “He wants to make an encyclopedia that will be distributed among the Satans of mankind and Jinn. He wants our approach to be more scientific! Now tell me, when does the woman become more beautiful in your eyes?”

I asked, “Do you have ways of making a woman more beautiful in the eyes of men?”

Myself said, “Yes, there are many ways, mannerisms and looks. Each man has his own inclinations”

I said, “Perhaps you could mention to me some of these and I will choose!”

“OK! Do you prefer a fair or dark woman?” “Neither!”

“Do you like the one with long or short hair?” “Neither!”

“The thin or fat one?” “Neither!”

“Do you like the one who uncovers her hair?” “NO!”

“Do you like the one who wears tight and short clothes” “NO!”

“What about the one who uncovers her shoulders and thighs?” “No way!”

“What about the one who sways from side-to-side while walking, strikes the floor with her high heels and speaks softly to men??” “NO!”

“You didn't like any of the ones I mentioned to you? I can't think of anything else?” “Really? Try to remember!”

....(silence)... then Myself smiled slyly, “YOU WICKED!! You like a woman when she is wearing a bikini?!!”

    “Yuck! No!!”

....(silence)... then Myself smiled again, “You evil man!” “What?”

“You like the woman who shuts the door and says come?” “NO!”

“I've run out of suggestions; you tell me what makes a woman more attractive to you?”

“OK! When the woman blushes and goes all red”

“Goes all red? I don't understand?”

“She becomes more beautiful when she lowers her gaze”

“Lowers her gaze?!! What's wrong with you? Speak clearly!”

“The woman becomes more attractive, when she becomes more modest and shy. Modesty is the thing that attracts me and many other men. The more a woman is modest the more attractive she becomes....Do you understand??”

  14. Tell Me

You want to believe you’re the exception

the strong Muslimah with her hijab and humbleness

while your friends walk around shamelessly

but tell me what have you done today

    to help Allah’s religion?

    Did you offer a smile

to that old lady you saw on your way to school this morning,

or did you turn your head away

and in an attempt to be humble

looked as though you were arrogant instead?

    Did you carry on quietly

showing the true meaning of hijab

or did you giggle with your friends

and eye that brother with the nice car?

Did you stand up in class

even if you were the only one

    to prevent al-munkar

    when your teacher preached homosexuality

and told you we came from apes?

    Or did you sit quietly

    hating it in your heart

because you know the Prophet said

that is the weakest of iman,

    and you’re the exception, remember?

Did you strive to learn something new today

or settled for doing something else instead

because you think you know enough

and that it doesn’t matter anyway

cause you’re already so much better than the rest?

Did you feel anger and devastation

    when a calamity befell you

or did you raise your hands to al-Qadir

and allowed your heart to fill with sabr?

    And tell me,

since you think you’re the exception -

    exception from who?

The ones living in a time

from which there will be very few ashabul-jannah

    and hoards of ashabul-jahim,

    tell me ya ukhti

what have you done to help Allah’s religion today?

    If you want to believe

that you’re doing all that you can

    then remember Sumayya

who lay in the burning sun

with blood flowing freely from a fatal wound

yet her heart and lips overflowing

    with La Illahe Illalah;

    if you want to believe

that your struggle is the most difficult

then remember the wives, sisters and daughters of the ashab

    who fought alongside the Prophet;

    remember Nasiba bint K’ab

    who took her saber

and went to fight with the Prophet

when the arrow men disobeyed his orders

    on the battle of Uhud,

    remember Nasiba bint K’ab

    on the battle of Uhud

    when her son was injured

remember how she took care of his wound

and told him to keep on fighting,

remember how the Prophet pointed out her son’s injurer

and she boldly hit the mushrik across his knees

causing him to kneel before her

making the Prophet smile so that his molars showed,

    remember Nasiba bint K’ab

and the fire of iman inside her heart

    and the hand she lost

    during the battle of Yamam.

Remember A’isha, the mother of believers,

    and the pregnant Umm Sulaym

who went with her husband into jihad

and remained firmly with the Prophet

while the Muslims fled from the battle of Hunayn,

remember her fury for the sake of Allah

when she asked the Prophet to kill all of those

who had upon the conquer of Makkah accepted Islam

but had turned away when their lives were at stake,

    and remember Umm Ayman

who gave water to the thirsty and cared for the wounded

    on the battles of Uhud, Haybar, Mu’ti and Hunayn;

    remember all these Mujahidas

    and so many more

true Muslimas who struggled for the cause of Allah,

remember them and compare your iman and struggle to theirs

not to the shells of women living today

and see whether you’re truly an exception

or a poor excuse for a Muslim Woman.

  15. Dear all,

    > The following was sent to me by my niece. "This is a Rahma from Allah" that the younger generation is passing on the torch, even to us. Please enjoy.

    > I pray that your life will never remain the same

    > again

    > as you meditate on this short story. read and be

    > blessed.

    >

    > A little boy visited his grandparents on their farm.

    > He was given a slingshot to play with in the woods.

    > He

    > practised, but couldn't hit the target. Getting

    > discouraged, he headed back to lunch. As he walked

    > back, he saw Grandma's pet duck. Out of impulse, he

    > let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the

    > head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved. In

    > a

    > panic, he hid the dead duck in the woodpile, only to

    > see his sister watching. Wunmi had seen it all, but

    > she said nothing.

    >

    > After lunch that day Grandma said, "Wunmi, let's

    > wash

    > the dishes." But Wunmi said, "Grandma, Idowu told me

    > whispered

    > to him, "Remember the duck?" So Idowu did the

    > dishes.

    >

    > Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted

    > Wunmi's, he could stand it no longer. He came to

    > Grandma & confessed that he had killed the duck.

    > Grandma knelt beside Idowu & said, "I know. I was

    > standing at the window and I saw the whole thing.

    > Because I love you, I forgave you. I was just

    > wondering how long you would let Wunmi make a slave

    > of

    > you."

    >

    > Thought for the day: Whatever is in your past,

    > whatever you have done that the enemy throws in your

    > ALLAH

    > (SWT) was standing and present at the window and saw

    > the whole thing. He wants you to know He loves you &

    >

    > Make the difference in someone's life today. Share

    > this with a family member or friend. ALLAH(SWT)is at

  16. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON MUSIC

We always feel very relax & sometimes very exciting while listening music & we feel that music leaves very light effects on us which gives us pleasure. And this is the reason that we often listening music whenever we are tense & want to relax or when ever we feel boring, even that we celebrate with our pleasures with music. Music makes an image in our minds that "it's something which can provide us physical & mental rest".

Now we see by some scientific evidences that up to what extent these "hypothesis" are valid. In this respect there are two major changes which are observed in a person during listening music by different scientists. These changes & there detail is as follows:

    1. Release of Adrenaline:

The first thing which is discovered in latest research is that, while listening music "adrenaline" is released in human body in high quantity. Adrenaline is a hormone which is released in human body under stress conditions. & in normal situation very low quantity of this hormone is released.

It is discovered that adrenaline release constantly during listening music & this release of adrenaline cause restlessness & insomnia in the body. Along with it there are many adverse effects of the adrenaline release in high quantities.

The first hypothesis that "music relaxes the man" has been rejected by the excessive release of adrenaline.

    2. Harm to nerves:

A very famous doctor Born Alder of the Columbia University America took an experiment on the 15-20 year old girls & he found that "The best melodious record of music can badly harm the nerves of the human body " he also encode that theses effects enhance in the summer season & also increases with time. These nerve disorders also result in the anger, depression, and restlessness & in many behavioral disorders which is common in our society.

    3. Effect of low music on body:

It was also observed during this research that "music technicians most of the time are not in their senses". Although it has seen that most of the time they use low sounds of music. But it has been seen during the search since last year that "these low voice music directly effect on the receptors of the body & usually they effect on the Barr receptor, which are sensitive for pressure."

    3. Development of Animal instinct:

It is also find out in these researches on music that "music develops animal instinct in human"

There are three basic animal instincts:

    a. They don't wear cloths.

    b. They eat food while standing.

    c. They are busy in searching out of their partners for sexual gratification.

And we see that in our very social & civilized societies these three animal instincts are very common in those people which used to listening music very frequently.

    4. Effect on Limbic system:

It was observed that while listening music limbic system which control the emotions first activate slightly. And this slight activation of limbic system creates pleasure. But it is also observed that constant listening of music activate limbic system more adversely & this result in the anger & depression.

    5. Effect of music during driving:

In Jan 2000 Sosuns Click from America observed that "those drivers which listen music while driving respond after 0.12 second." In his research he took 10 to 18 years old girls; he gave them a road in which various sign boards are posted. On this track first he allow them to drive without music & then to drive with music. & a difference of 0.12 seconds was observed. & Sosuns states that "this difference is the difference of life & death"

It was also observed that while listening music drivers completely ignore the side traffic and it accidents happened.

    6. Effect on fetus:

The adverse effects of music also occur on the fetus (unborn baby). & this effect is due to the sound waves of music.

    7. Effect on Child:

The person who listen music in their childhood can't develop the study & language skills. & it has seen that these people confuse many sounds & slowly these effects results in deafness.

    8. Effect on listening:

We measure music sounds in Pascal & a 120 Pascal voice is consider as "noise" & in the music concerts this voice exceed 120 Pascal. This at the end slowly leads to deafness.

    9 Hypnotisms:

It has also been seen that the children are hypnotized by the music. And sometimes they suddenly start dancing while music played although they don't understand the songs.

  17. Assalamu Alaikum Wardi

Islamic gear such as qamiis, stuff like that so we don't look like the kufaar. We should represent who we are and what religion were from so people can see that were proud of our religion. I feel that when one wears the islamic clothing, you get respected. It takes time though, do everything step by step.
