She did not die. She is immortal. She will live forever through our memories and moments of happiness. She will wake up from the grave everytime we rejoice with her timeless melodies. Aawayhee,,,waxaan u ooyaa u oomaa aawadaa,,, What a voice, what a talent. I watched her in Addis Ababa stadium in late 1990s along with Mohamed Wardi and she impressed and made us the few somalis in the stadium proud. She sang Aster's "Ishururu" and the Amhara's marvelled at her sound. She was a jewel, she will remain a jewel.
Sad day for Somali art.

couple hrs ago I was reading an article with my ayeeyo..and my ayeeyo kept repeating "qof fiican bay aheed ina lilaah wa ina ilayhi rajicuun"...I didnt know her but heard one of her songs she was a wadani as far as I know..allow janada ka waraabi ...sme of the lyrics dalkaygow dabeeshaadu wa udgooni dalkeygowww in aa dabadaha wareego in aa dawarsado shisheeyaha..beautiful song makes me go in tears!..

I second Nuune's suggestion that you ppl shouldnt be posting her song..for the love of God miyaana la odhan the more u listen to qof dhintey hesihiisa teh more lugu cidhiidhinayo her qabR? OR SOMETHing along those lines even though I dnt have any authentic hadith..and how we always posts songs of ppl who are dead subhanalah! allow na cafi!
